I was just thinking today, doesn't it seem odd that in a tiny school like Forks High that with Alica and Bella being in the same grade and all that they don't have any classes together? I don't know just a random thought!

I was just wondering that too the other day, you would think she would be sprinkled in more than lunch.

I went to a pretty small HS (only about 100 in graduating class if that many). There were a few kids that I NEVER (in all my schooling) had a class with. So I dont think it is too unreasonable to think they dont have any classes together.

My graduating class was even smaller (100 is BIG!!) and I didn't have classes with some of the other kids. So it is very possible.

Well, I had huge classes actually. I had classes with up to 35 kids in each class in high school, but my school was Parish wide. {County wide} my graduating class had 277 and two years behind me had over 500 I wish my school was like the one in Forks....to where it was small and almost everyone knew each other....they had too much trying to fit in at my school....just like anywhere.....and I also wish I had Alice and Bella in my classes for that matter....Alice would keep things lively and Bella, just seems like a person I would click more with. I didn't have many friends and kinda hung aroung the band room with the members since I was in band. So...I was more or less quiet in high school......not at all like I am now.

Well, simple! Edward wanted as much Bella time as possible so he just flattered poor Mrs. Cope into hot flashes to get Alice to have a different schedule. We know he's more than capable of achieving that!

ya'll made me have to go out and dig up my old yearbooks, LOL. We had 91 in my class in Texas. Although we moved my jr year, and I ended up in a school with a graduating class of something like 300ish (I never bothered to count them all)

That is so cool! I always wanted to go to a small school and grow up in a small town. Your classroom size must have been so tiny to have gone all of school without having classes with some people! At my high school we had 30-35 kids in one class period!

I agree with you beck8701 Edward definitely had his hand in Bella's schedule and it was probably no coincidence that her classes and Alices did not mix

But why wouldn't Edward want Bella and Alice to socialize more? By now he has surely gotten over the fear of Alice seeing Bella as a vampire and influencing Bella . . . so wouldn't it have to be some other reason?

You know Edward--always overprotective. I don't know, honestly, what would be his motive behind that. I mean, he can read Alice's mind within the school anyway. Maybe he didn't think Bella needed more distractions from her academic achievements than he already provided with his glorious hunky perfection.
