You're right! I think with me, I prepare myself for the worst, then when it's not that way, it's like a huge sigh of relief. _________________

Pain and sorrow always seem to surface first, paving the way for genuine happiness to actually occur later on. Although I would like to see all survive, my instincts are telling me that there will be tragedy on some level in BD. If I were to venture a guess, it would be Sam, saving his precious Emily from the likes of Jane and company; finally redeeming himself for maiming her in the first place. This would also allow for Jacob to step up and take on the responsibilities of the pact, (possibly imprinting with someone?) and finally having the closure with Bella that they both need. All presumptions on my part. I find it fascinating to speculate about what might be _________________ "Children are the anchors of a mother's life"-Sophocles

Was there an actual confirmation that someone important WILL die in "Breaking Dawn"?...
I haven't really thought about it, but after reading all the posts, I am going to have to lean towards Sam dying. I think it makes sense, and would be much less painful for me than losing one of the Cullen's. If someone HAS to die, then I'll guess Sam.

Unfortunately, for us to be greatly moved by a death, it will have to be one that we all would consider unjust. I have been thinking about this alot, and there are very few characters that I don't have emotional investments in, at least of some level. Okay I could stand it if Lauren was snuffed out, and maybe Leah, but as I said, if there is a death, it is going to be painful to most of us. _________________ "You're not going to budge me on this."

I hear you, but, this would go so against the grain of SM's mantra of loving happy endings. Carlisle is too integral a character to not leave a large emotional impact of sadness on the reader should his demise be slated for in BD. _________________ "Children are the anchors of a mother's life"-Sophocles

the only reason I am holding out on it not being one of the Cullen especially Carlisle is because SM was asked at a Q&A if her family resembles Bella's family and she said no and then she thought about it and she said her family is more like the Cullen’s and Carlisle reminds her of her dad so that is the only reason I am holding on to that is because she loves them maybe a little more because they do remind her of her family
Here it is I found it this helps me think maybe we are safe with the Cullen’s but you never know I guess maybe that will be my surprise

5. How did you get the idea of the vampire family? All these characters… do you know somebody like them or are they all fantasy?
It’s 90% fantasy and then, uhm, I didn’t… The Cullens, when I was writing the story, they came to me really naturally I was writing about Edward and Bella and then it just seemed obvious that Edward has a sister named Alice who could see the future and all the rest of them came to me easily and, uhm, I didn’t really think about where they came from until I was doing an interview a couple of years later and the interviewer asked if “Bella’s family is like yours” and I kind of laughed because Bella is an only child with divorced parents and my parents were married for like a hundred and ten years and I have a bunch of brothers and sisters and I said “no, no I come from a big family and we’re really close. We are all very different but we all get along really well” And as I was hearing myself I was thinking “Oh my gosh, we are the Cullens!” That’s where they came from and my dad really is like Carlisle except that he looks a lot greyer. But, so I think the Cullens are based on my big family and the idea that even though we’re all very, very different and sometimes you probably think we’re crazy, underneath it all we’d die for each other.

Amie, as always, you are the bomb. I feel so much better about Carlisile. I've been carrying that fear around ever since I met the Volturi, and I learned that they were jealous of him. _________________ "You're not going to budge me on this."

I hate to say this, but I have this terrible fear that it will be Alice. I really, really hope that I'm wrong.

I don't think it will be Alice either here is a Q&A that makes me feel better the only one in the Cullen’s I have not yet feel safe to say 100% that I don't think she will die is Rosalie she is the only one that I have thought might I think the rest are fine I really do here is the Q&A that to me says that Alice will be okay

Question #4: I know you said that book four would be the last book of Bella's story, are you going to continue with any of the other characters?
Stephenie Meyer: She wants to know if I'm going to continue with the other characters after Bella's story is told. I can't say for certain. I would like to. I do have a fairly intricate outline for book five. That's not including Midnight Sun, that will be the next one. It isn't told from Bella's point of view, but the characters that you know now will remain characters in the story, so like Alice and Jasper, and we'll still have Edward and Bella around. 'K, yes. |
So I don't know to me I think ALice is safe also
