When did Alice order the gown?

I love that SM said she got the dress before NM!!! I'll be going through a whole box of kleenex when I read about their wedding.

the more i think about this, the more i'm intrigued...and the fact that SM had such a quick answer tells me that perhaps the timing of the dress had already been worked out for MS...

can you believe at some point we will get a chance to read the actual conversation (or mind reading, as it probably was) that alice and edward first had about bella? *dies*

Okay in some ways I would like Stephenie to put that up as a short story telling how Alice got it and maybe seeing what the rest of the Cullen's thought about Alice getting the dress weird I know

I think that she ordered it long before. Probably when she knew Edward told Bella that she was his life now. She knows Edward like no one else and would also know that Bella would do anything to make him happy. So 'old fashioned' Edward would want the wedding he would have had circa 1918-1919 before going to war.

I don't think it ever says I don't think we know the answer to that. Someone asked about htere cars in a Q&A but nothing was said abou thte inside

I agree that Edward thought about asking Bella to marry him long before he actually asked. I think multitaskmom is right, that Edward decided to ask Bella her hand in marriage on the flight home from Italy.

I posted this somewhere else too, but I really am glad to know for sure that the dress was ordered in Twilight because that's what I guessed. . .BAHAHAA

I figure we still haven't heard the whole vision--only that B goes vamp. . .there were too many mysterious looks and mind talk between Alice and Edward if it was only a vague little vision about Bella turning. I bet she even saw how and when and it was Edward fighting soooo hard against it.

Honestly, why would anyone bet against Alice? Hee hee

Even with ordering it in Twilight, that doesn't mean she actually had the dress IN HAND when they left in NM. I think she probably didn't actually receive the dress until they came back in EC....just judging on how long it takes to make one.
