What is your favorite part in Twilight?

I really love the parts where Edward is surprised by the resurfacing of his human emotions. He is so convinced that he is a horrible monster that these instances of humanity are completely shocking to him.

I love his human moments, too. It is interesting that the instinct to be human is becoming as strong as the instinct to kill Bella was in the beginning. He is feeling more and more as the books progress. By supressing his human urges, he became more vampire; but now he is suppressing the vampire urges and becoming more human.

My favorite moment changes every time I re-vamp the book.

But right now, it's when he is taking her to meet his parents, and she runs down the stairs into him saying she is decent and he says she is indecent. Then when he kisses her and she faints because she forgot to breathe <sigh>. Gets me every time!

My favorite moment right now is after they visit the meadow for the first time and Edward finally lightens up and lets himself be happy. Bella remarks at how she's never seen him act as happy and carefree as he does at that part in the story. He has unburdened himself and finally decided that he can be around her and resist the bloodlust. I love a happy Edward!

I can't seem to narrow in on a specific part right now. I just love Edward. I love the way he is with Bella. The things he says to her are so romantic.

I'm loving the Port Angles visit. I love when Edward saves Bella, I love how she calms him with her humor and I love how they begin to open up to each other at dinner and the drive home. Smile

Oh! I don't think I can pick just one. There are so many intensely beautiful moments.
But it would have to be that first kiss with all its anticipation, Bella's unexpected reaction and Edward's surprise.

today, my favorite part is when edward stayed with bella in her room after their meadow date. i just love the way they talked about their feelings, love edward's reactions to being in love for the first time, love the way he stayed with her as she slept through the night. ~~ sigh~

Today my favorite moment is when Bella sees Edward with his shirt unbuttoned before they go hiking. I can only imagine how red Bella got when she saw his perfect body peeking out at her- she blushes so easily anyway! This is also one part i really look forward to reading in MS because in Twilight, Edward doesn't really say anything about Bella's reaction to him, but i"m sure he noticed it. I wonder if he understood why she was so flusterd? He doesn't see himself clearly, so maybe he really didn't understand her reaction. hmmmm........

My favorite part is every scene that Edward is in her room at night having conversations and watching her sleep, hearing her talk in her sleep like I do and all the cute sayings he says to her and his gentle and old fashioned ways about him that makes me totally swoon............

Today my favortie part is where Edward is telling Bella how he sucked the venom out of her hand when James bit her. He is so tortured by the fact that he almost wasn't able to stop, yet he doesn't realize that he is probably the only vampire who would have enough self control to taste the blood of their "singer" and still be able to keep from killing them. He has done something truely amazing, yet he is still beating himself up. It's not that i like to see Edward unhappy, its just that I love these parts where we get a glimpse of how special Edward really is and how amazingly strong his bond with Bella is.

Three words: "You know Debussy?" It was such a brief moment but it just further underscored their connection. I don't know, it just sticks with me! Laughing

And the scene at the Italian restaurant in Port Angeles is right up there too. I love the dialogue between Edward and Bella there.

This is a very difficult question, only because I have so many. Mine is from Carlisle chapter, when Edward takes bella to his room, and she tells him tht he really isn't tht scary, and Edward jumps through the air with her and they land on the sofa. Alice and Jasper come in and Alice tells Edward " It sounded like u were having Bella for lunch and we wondered if u would share" Edward replies "No sorry, I dont have enough" and he is holding Bella recklessly close.

I never really have written down what my favorite part is although I have always known. I surprise myself when I think about it. I would think I would choose the Meadow or Empasse or something like that but I always think of the car ride home from Port Angeles. Its the first time the walls are down. The first time Edward is totally weak and vulnerable. Its the first time they are both intimate with each others hearts. How fresh the emotions are and how intense the feelings , although nothing beats the emotions of the plane ride home in New Moon. For me in Twilight, its the car ride home. I am a bit heart broken because I dont think they use that scene in the movie. They tweek it. I really really love the car ride home.

I agree. There's a big difference in the mood established between driving 90 mph in the dark vs. standing in an eerily quiet forest. I liked the whole rushing towards destiny feel in the book. I hope we don't lose too much of that.
