I love so many of these moments too...all the big ones, most of all the meadow scene, the rescues in Port Angeles and definitely in Phoenix, the first kiss, the first 'I love you'...

Oh but there is something to be said for those 'smaller' but extremely significant moments too. The ones I go back and read over and over again are when Mike is asking her out to the dance in Biology and he's just staring at her, the moment when he asked to go to Seattle with him and she nearly swoons (me too!), and especially when he tells her he's been watching her while she sleeps. I know there's more too but I have to pry myself away from this thread at some point!

My favorite Twilight moment is when Edward is asking Bella to go to Seattle with him. And she is totally annoyed with him, but he keeps persuing her. And they start to banter about her truck and why he wants her to go with him.

If I could have a 2nd favorite it would be after Port Angeles and Edward tells Bella that Jessica is going to ambush her with questions. And he says:"She wants to know if we're secretly dating. And she wants to know how you feel about me." And his response is "I suppose you could say yes to the first.....as for her other question....well, I'll be listening to hear the answer to that one myself." I just love how he is so into her and really wants to know if the feelings are going to be reciprocated. But at the same time he seems rather sure of himself.

This is my fav Twilight part today:

"He leaned over to kiss the top of my head, and then groaned". I looked at him, puzzled.
"You smell so good in the rain" he explained.
"In a good way, or in a bad way?" I asked cautiously.
He sighed. "Both, always both."

So sweet, and so hearbreaking at the same time! No matter how much other crazy stuff goes on in the series, I never want to lose track of moments like this. THIS is why I love the books - such a small thing can stir up such strong emotions

For me it was the morning after the meadow...in Bella's room.

Today my fav part of Twilight is when Edward tells Bella that if he is going to Hell, he might as well do it thoroughly. That is so funny (and true, if you look at it from his point of view)

I know it probably has been mentioned already.....
My favorite non-Edward moment: when Jasper says
"You're wrong, you know," he said quietly.
"What?" I gasped.
"I can feel what you are feeling now - and you are worth it."

:::sigh::::

And then when Alice asks permission to carry her...... sweeeet

This morning my favorite part in Twilight is when Bella is in the hospital after the James incident and her mother says of Edward: "That boy never leaves, does he?" I love this because she has no idea how right she is! It makes me laugh and swoon and cry every time I revamp. It also foreshadows how perceptive Renee is, although she is very childlike.

Heh, heh, heh. Yesterday when I revamped this scene I really tried to picture what it must look like for Alice--who's what? around four-foot-ten??--to be carrying Bella who is both taller and heavier, and I also wondered what went through Jasper's mind, seeing how silly they must appear. Sorry. I couldn't help it. The thought of Bella spilling out right and left, feet dangling, all elbows and knees in Alice's arms....

If it weren't for the seriousness of the events prompting the action, I'm sure Bella herself would have cracked wry about it.

You're too funny Shimmer. I never really did think about it too visually, though you're right, Bella is so much bigger.

I just revamped the meadow scene again, and right now my fav part is where Bella and Edward both discover that they are feeling "romantic" feeling for the very first time in their lives. I love how surprised and innocent they both are. It is sooo achingly sweet.

"But..." His fingers touched my lips lightly, making me shiver again. "There are other hungers. Hungers that I don't even understand. Hungers that are foreign to me."
"I may understand that better than you think."
"I'm not used to feeling so human. Is it always like this?"
"For me?" I paused. "No, never. Never before this."

I really love the parts where Edward is surprised by the resurfacing of his human emotions. He is so convinced that he is a horrible monster that these instances of humanity are completely shocking to him.

Hee...hee...Alice must have resembled an ant, carrying a big spider with all those flailing limbs.

I was picturing an ant and a grasshopper, is that close enough?

How about a dinosaur and a mouse? hehehe - getting images of creepy balloon animals and Rob's "confused and befuddled" expression

Well, maybe not quite THAT extreme! Bella is pretty petite, after all. She's just not the mini mite watersprite that Alice is.

Still chuckling at the mental image....When I read that passage, I always think, "Thank goodness Edward isn't in the scene to see this!" But then I always remind myself that if Edward were in the scene, he'd be the one carrying Bella. It would be a moot point. Otherwise known as "the point is moo," as Joey Triviani would say....
