I wasn't sure where to post this, but I had a random thought tonight (burning smell) that was depressing: :( What happens when BD is out and read, the movie is done and over, we've read the series for the 45,675429th time, and we are just waiting for MS? I think I may need to go into Twilight rehab for my addiction.

I think it will be something like denial, denial, denial. It just won't happen.

Did you guys read Harry Potter at all?

When I first started Twilight, it was liek I was "cheating" on HP!

But last summer when the last book came out, I was pleased with the ending, and how "final" it was (despite people whining to the contrary, it was quite a complete end). But I did have to heal after being attched to something for over 7 years. I mean, I was in the throes of Potter addiction. I have about 20 HP shirts, several copies of th books, the collector's edtion fo the DVDs, I've dressed up as Harry, Hermione, Bella (numerous times as she looks the most like me), I've gone to see Harry and Potters the past 3 years (2 of those years was with Draco and the Malfoys), I've subscribed to the wizard rock ep of the month club" for the past 2 years (even being an early adopter both years), and blah, blah, blah. You just move on and share the memroies and talk with other fans like here!). It really is hard, and people who don't really read that much don't understand, but it's really tough!

Which character from Harry Potter? Why don't I remember a "Bella?" Maybe I need to start that series over again as well...

I don't remember a Bella in HP either...

I was a huge HP fan too! I have lots of collectibles...and posters...and maybe a few t-shirts...possibly a mug...and I might have seen the last movie in IMAX 3D four times... But you know what's sad? After the last book came out, I was done with the craze...I loved the books, and still do! But it's over now, and I'm okay now...I hope that doesn't happen with the Twilight books! How depressing to think of that. The only hope I have going is that there's one HUGE difference between Harry Potter and Twilight...that'd be EDWARD. I just don't know if I'll ever get over that!

It is so great to read so many people have the same interests as I do. I loved Harry Potter and to was glad when it ended. Now since reading twilight I am addicted . I hear music and it reminds me of Bella, Edward and Jacob. I've been listening to the song " Bleeding Love" by a UK artist named Leona Lewis and reminds me of Bella's obsession with Edward . The song says " I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you. They try to pull me away... my hearts crippled by the vein that I keep on closing........... I keep bleeding love

The words blood, vein, love, crazy..... remind me of themes of the books.
I can see this happening in the fourth book when Bella announces her wedding.

Am I the only one so obsessed

I agree with everything that has been said on this thread. I've just realized recently that I think I was slightly depressed after reading the final HP book. Not that I didn't enjoy the nice clean ending but that it just really was over and there was nothing more to look forward to. I used to read and re-read the HP books (like I do twilight of course) but since I read the final HP book (only once) I haven't picked any of them up again. I cannot let that happen to twi...oh my gosh my baby just got into a thing of carmex lip stuff and it was all over her and the carpet...ok I'm back on track here...I have to keep this passion with Twilight alive. I'm hoping that just like Bella's experience losing Edward once taught her she could not be without him again that I will have learned from HP and be able to do something different (mentally???) when the whole twilight thing ends...sob, sob, sob, it's hard to even say it isn't it? I know I can't live without Twilight!!!! Maybe having each other (other addicts in mourning) will be the difference. :)

Being a big HP fan, I can tell you that it gets better!!! lol I was so upset at the midnight party to get the last and final book. I was thinking *OME*! there will be no more HP books. That was really depressing. Now, instead of waiting for another one, we still can re-read the books and watch the movies. It still upsets me watching the movies knowing who died and seeing those characters on the television.

Knowing me, it will be the same way with Twilight. *hopes none of the main characters get killed off*

But the thing with the HP fandom, is that the friends I have made online, will still be friends through either myspace or livejournal. So having the ladies on myspace or livejournal will still be there after the fandom dies. We'll be there for each other through our next addiction and what ever is happening in our lives.

We'll just have to hang out here to get out daily fix when it is all over. But it maybe a while. Stephenie may take a break from Twilight but she's got stories in her head that will someday hopefully insist on being written!

Oh I love looking at if from this perspective...someday maybe she will write more. HP seemed so tightly closed at the end and JKR said she won't write anymore anyway so to me that one is complete. I do think that is a key for me. If I can think in my head that it isn't complete. That SM has more she might give someday (we all know Bella and Edward's characters are too strong to stay quiet for too long.) That would totally make it easier for me. Also, and maybe some of you don't want to hear this, but I might want for there to be a few loose ends at the end of the Twilight Series. NOT big ones, but just enough to keep us "wondering." :)
