I am a trained Forensic Investigator (CSI). It is never boring, that is for certain.
However, Iam now living in the UK and having trouble finidng a position because to work with the Police here you have to be a resident for 3 years. I have only been here for 1 thus far so I am working temporary jobs. Currently I am temping at London Metropolitan University. |
that actually sounds really cool! I am a stay @ home mom, however am trying to get up the nerve to go back and get my degree in ele. education -- it's been way too long since I was in school so I just need to take the plunge and sign up! Scares the crap out of me though!!!! |
I hear ya! I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys too, and my youngest starts Kindergarten in the fall. I've been on the PTO at my oldest's school for 3 years now and I help out at my little one's preschool. Not to mention helping out with boy scouts and babysitting nephews or friends kids every now and then. That seems to happen when you stay at home, though...ya get asked more often.
I'd like to get back to school or to work, but it's really overwhelming. And a job is not an easy thing to find here lately....the economy in MI is really not a big help. Not to mention how much it costs for gas! A part-time job would have to cover the cost to fill my tank plus save some money....not very likely I guess.

Before I had my son I was in the middle of double-majoring in English and Anthropology and working as a Barista. Right now I'm a stay at home mom but I'll be going back to school in the fall. I'm not going back to that job though. My get-up-at-four 'o' clock-every-morning-coffee-slinging days are over. _________________

I am a full time Nanny for two families. One has two girls (6 and 4) the other has 4 boys (11, 9, 7, and almost 2). I have a third family only on the weekends with three children (girl 7, girl 5, boy 3) Some months I only have one off day so I feel like a SAHM! I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything! _________________

I am a pre-school teacher. I teach a total of 30 kids on M-W-F (15 in my morning class and 15 in my afternoon class). On T-Th i stay at home with my kids girl (almost 10) and 2 boys (almost 6 and almost 2). I am also a soccor, football, dance, baseball, gymnastics mom. On the side I go cheer for dear hubby's football team--he's the coach! I love it all and wouldn't trade any of it! _________________ "Yeah, it's an off day when I don't get somebody telling me how edible I smell."

I'm a legal secretary, directly responsible for the happiness of five attorneys. Having said that, there are over 100 lawyers in the firm and if any one of them asks me to do something I have to do it.
In my spare time, I'm a total nerd! I read tons of books and comics, and play table-top rpg's.
Vampire: The Masquerade anyone?
I also write sometimes, mostly crappy poetry.
I have a nephew who I adore and would do anything for. I get to hang with him twice a week. _________________

I'm an author (historical romance for Zebra Books and Harlequin SPICE and and officially-licensed NASCAR romance for Harlequin NASCAR), which is great because it allows me to work at home and be available for my two daughters (ages seven and eight). Gets a little crazy sometimes, especially when I'm under deadline or off on book tours/publicity events, but mostly it's a dream come true, so I can't complain.
Before I had kids, I worked in non-profit development. I managed the foundation and corporate gifts/sponsorship programs at the American Museum of Natural History, and then American Ballet Theatre.
