I love everyone's responses, because I think it's beautiful that not only do so many people here (and I suspect IRL) love love and romance, but also a good story.

Anyone can call me head coach of Team Jacob; whatever...it's not that I hate Edward or am even against him...because I truly LOVE the LOVE between Edward and Bella. I love them as characters, the tensions and the conflict and the tenderness and the protectiveness. But I don't think that Bella actually knows how really lovable she is, and I don't think that Jacob realizes he deserves more love than she's prepared to deal him. Neither know that their values could converge as much as they could (despite what Jacob may already feel for her).

These two deficiencies just beg, IMO, to be brought along in the literary sense. This cannot be dropped, or fopped; it must be delved and explored and pursued in BD. I don't believe in the bite for Bella (not sorry) and while I wish Edward all the happiness, Bella is in a fabulous position to make herself a beautiful life with Jacob.

To keep a love so pure and so right like Edward and Bella's, I would toatlly want to be changed.

Yes, I would make the choice to change. A love like that is worth it. I would always wonder what could've been if I didn't. As for my daughter, if I knew the whole story, I would support it; however, if she just disappeared I would be devasted. (Then again, I am guessing as I do not have a daughter)

BITE ME!!! I so would make the choice- I may have said this before- I thought it a lot so I can't remember, I think it would be so totally perfect if Edward and Bella were married, and on there wedding night whilst in the midst of passion and ultimate pleasure he bit her and she loved it- SIGN ME UP! Maybe having an intense pleasureable experience while being changes would make it easier for Bell- Again- just bite me!

I would want that most desperately if I had love like what we have experienced with the Cullens, to have someone know your every thought, look lovingly, deeply into your eyes. Someone who only thinks of your happiness, would kill or die for you. I think that everyone wants that in their life and would endure anything even physical pain just to attain that.

As for Bella she, as a human, already has that with Edward, but I think she is wanting to change for herself more than for Edward because of her insecurities and frailties. I think for her own peace of mind she wants this desperately. Who wouldn't want to physically be with their mate 100% with no limitations. I think deep down Edward desperately wants that too without knowing that he does.

If it were me, and I was Bella's age, and there was some kind of guarantee that I wouldn't go feral, then yes I'd do it. The whole point for Bella is to stay young and be beautiful for him, so doing it when she's older invalidates her reasoning behind it.

If it were now,for me, there'd be no point. I'd guess I've got another 35/40 years left and I'm knackered already, to live for eternity with this body...it'd kill me!

And I'm not just saying that because Edward is a gorgeous Greek god, but because eternal, undying love only comes along once in an eternity (lifetime). Bella has felt what it was like to live without him, and we all know how well that turned out! She can't live without him, and he can't live without her, so of course she should change. That way they can be together forever. Don't worry about Jacob - I have faith that he will find his true love. And it's NOT Bella, so don't even go there Laughing
