There was a show on Friday nights Moonlight that was a lot like this. A Vampire in love with a human and the human in love with the vampire. The dangers and the pain of how they were going to make it work. I was hooked...guess what CBS has decided to pull the show before we find out how Mick and Beth are going to make it work. BUMMER

Really, they pulled it? ARGH!!! I HATE that! That was a good show in a cheesy vampire kind of way. Even my dh watched that one with me-bummer! Anyhow, right now I am not really needing a weekly series cause the AF Fridays are making me happy:)

It was the good gals over at Moonlight that turned me on to Twilight.
They were hoping if we could not have our Friday Night Moonlight on CBS, maybe the CW or someone would pick up Twilight as a series.

I don't know...

They always seem to ruin TV shows. They tend to be a little cheesy, and if they do start out good they end up running out of ideas eventually and begin to really reach for stories. Just my opinion.

If it was done right I think a t.v. show would be great 8) Moonlight was a great deal like the twilight series as far as the similiarities with the vampires. I would love a good show for this. There was another one that had to do with vampires and a private investigator that was going blind. She falls in love with the lead vampire. I think it could of been really good, but after watching one episode it was too demonic for me. Too much there, it was grotesque.

You're thinking of "Blood Ties." It's still airing, but it is on hiatus at the moment. It's based on a series of books by Tanya Huff and is more mystery/horror than paranormal romance (though there is a sort of triangle between the PI, the vamp, and the PI's former police officer partner).

While it would be nice to have as much of the Twilight universe as possible, I would be skeptical about how well it would get translated to the small screen. I think it would have higher production values and a better chance if it was something a cable channel decided to take on. For example, HBO is working on the Sookie Stackhouse series right now and it's got Alan Ball ("Six Feet Under," "American Beauty") attached to it.
