I'm a huge Viggo fan. He's such a great actor who is not afraid to take chances and play different, varied characters. I will always love him as Aragon best though. I'm really looking forward to 'The Road' coming out this fall. The book was really good and it will be interesting to see it made into a movie. Maybe a bit painful, but I"m sure it will be great.

So, any other fans out there?? :)

I am a fan of Viggo and, so far, I too like him the most as Aragorn. His voice just sends shivers up my spine! I had not heard of or read The Road…but now I think that I will have to read it. The movie sounds good.

I checked out his latest movies on IMDb and he seems to be busy...

Appaloosa (Western)
Release date: 3 October 2008 (USA)

Summary:
When Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch arrive in Appaloosa, they find a town suffering at the hands of a rancher named Randall Bragg that means to own everything in it, and who has already left the city Marshall and one of his deputies dead. Cole and Hitch are used to cleaning up after scavengers, but this one raises the stakes by playing not by the rules, but with emotion. Cole and Hitch are hired to save the town from Bragg, but a young attractive widow arrives to complicate matters. Based on the novel by Robert B. Parker (creator of "Spencer for Hire"), this western delivers!

Good (Drama)
Release date: 2008 (UK) (no mention of a USA release date)

Summary:
John Halder (Mortensen) is a 'good' and decent individual with family problems: a neurotic wife, two demanding children and a mother suffering from senile dementia. A literary professor, Halder explores his personal circumstances in a novel advocating compassionate euthanasia. When the book is unexpectedly enlisted by powerful political figures in support of government propaganda, Halder finds his career rising in an optimistic current of nationalism and prosperity. Seemingly inconsequential decisions lead to choices, which lead to more choices... with eventually devastating effect

The Road (Drama/Thriller)
Release date: 26 November 2008 (USA)

Summary:
A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don't know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing; just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food--and each other.

It's going to be a REALLY good Fall for Viggo fan's! I've heard good things about Appaloosa and hard as it is to believe, there's also talk of Oscar nomination for his role in The Road.

Viggo is THE MAN! Well, at least he's my #1 celeb crush and has been so for years - no one's been able to knock him off his #1 spot! :D

I am a big big BIG fan of Viggo! have been for YEARS and YEARS! he writes amazing poetry, takes intriguing and thought-provoking photos, and paints the most beautiful pictures--what more could you want? oh yeah and he can ACT! haha. he is so sincere about whatever he does--whether it's in an interview, or just chatting with folks in an everyday situation--he goes out of his way to make YOU feel special and what you say important. (sigh) what a guy. I could sit at a bar or coffeshop and chat and listen to him for hours! (dream on, i know)
