Another Twilight Mom from VA. I got the gift set for Christmas and only just read them the day after Fathers Day. I read them two times in a row in a course of two weeks. I tried to hold off on the third time till next week but started again yesterday  I Can't Help It. I am kind of glad I held out till now b/c now I won't have to wait to long for the 4th book.
I'm hooked b/c these books provide me with a total and complete escape from real life! I couldn't believe it. I thought they would just be another bunch of books I would read through. When I'd put them down to go to work I'd look around like..."Oh I forgot all about real life" It's so fun to get excited to come home and go to Forks and get sucked in! I have never had this happen over any book. I love love it! I totally understand the HP affect now (I never read them)
I am also totally excited to know I'm not the only "older" one who is totally obessed! I'm 29 Married almost 3 years w/ a 10 month old. I read now ever time she is asleep and into the night. I am looking forward to getting to know all the other ladies on here (all who seem so awesome) and counting down the days till BD and the movie! |

Welcome! I had to giggle when you called yourself "older" and you haven't even broken 30 yet, girl!
This is completely random but when I was 29 I was really looking forward to turning 30. Now I'm 35 and I wonder what the heck was I thinking that I was excited about that for? Maybe its being smack in the middle of my 30s and encroaching upwards.
Maybe from now on every person I welcome to the board I will include a totally random little snippet about myself that no one, anywhere, could possibly find either fitting for the topic or remotely interesting. It could be my thing!
Back to YOU,  Glad to see you joining us here, this board is amazing! Its a nice warm haven to curl up and envelop yourself with all things TWILIGHT. No one here looks at you like you've lost it when you say, "This song reminds me of Edward and Bella" or laughs LOUDLY when you reference Edward as your boyfriend. (Stupid teenage daughter!)
