I keep waiting for someone to take the bulls by the horn and start planning a weekend getaway for the movie's opening weekend. Since that hasn't happened yet, I guess I'll start. Is anyone interested in finding a more or less central location (possibly including other geographic groups) and meeting for a weekend of repeated Twilight movie watching, girl bonding and late night "SQUEEEE" as we discuss all things Twilight?

I would be interested in going to Chicago - weather permitting. It will be tough to organize something in the Midwest in December but I would love to have a huge group of TMs take over a theatre. What city did you have in mind?

Well, I'm from southern Ohio so I was thinking a bit closer to here, but I guess it just depends on the first dozen or so people to be interested. December is tricky in the midwest, true. Where do you live?

Well if anyone wants to come to Chicago to see the movie, I'm all for that! It most likely will be playing at the AMC River East movie theater (near Navy Pier) which has decent sized screens and you can buy tickets in advance so that would probably be the best place.

I haven't heard if they will be doing a midnight release for this movie or not. If so I probably won't be able to resist as I find they are the best viewing experience with die hard fans...although it does make it a bit challenging to go to work in the morning *grin*

i would love to join in a movie night i live like 2 hours from chicago so it would not be to bad for me it would really depend if i would be staying in chicago after the movie or if i would have to drive back

My original thought for all of this was to have us get a block of hotel rooms somewhere and spend the weekend watching the movie ('cause you know we're gonna have to see it 5 times) and discussing. I certainly wouldn't want anyone driving home alone for hours in the middle of the night.

I'd be up for this, of course weather and location permitting. I'm from Southeast Wisconsin a little over an hour from the Chicago border. The weekend thing sounds like fun!

I'm near Cleveland. I know I wouldn't be able to be gone for the whole weekend. I couldn't drive far either since I get so lost. I could have directions sitting right next to me and I'd still get lost.
