I figured that since i shared the news about my engagement the other night with you ladies first (well besides my family) i would share the picture of my ring with you. Its nothing like Bellas but i love it!!!

The band was a promise ring i got for our one year. SWOON!!!!! So my wedding band for the ceremony will be a top band

He also promised me we could take a twilight themed engagement photo for all my friends and sorority sister who read twilight. So i need help any ideas for the picture?

I am totally attuned to my surroundings in a totally different way after reading this series.

So I live in a pretty small town and I went to watch my boyfriend's niece cheer at her school's football game. The football field runs along one of the main roads in town. So I happen to glance at the cars going by for whatever reason and as I do...a red truck that looks EXACTLY like Bella's (and sounds like it too) roars by the football field. I swear my heart stopped beating for a split second and my jaw dropped to the ground when I saw it! I wanted so badly to say something to someone but I knew they'd think I was crazy!

On the way home I saw a black Mercedes (windows tinted and al) like Carlisle's parked in a parking lot near my house...hmm I wonder if I leave my window open tonight....... :oops:

Our daughters have had a Twilight day today. They were walking to a class this afternoon together, and saw a Volvo S60R (gray, though, not silver) go zipping by. Of course that gave their spirits a boost, but there's more....After said class, on the way home (and in the space of 10 minutes ) they saw a decked- out Jeep Wrangler, a BMW Convertible, a very nice Black Mercedes like Carlisle's, an OLD Chevy Pickup like Bella's, and a Porsche 911 Turbo!! Needless to say, they came home breathless and excited!!

(On a side note - I also saw the yellow Porsche 911 Turbo while running errands this afternoon!)

Yeah, they think it's time we moved to Forks. :lol:

Where I am right now there is a TON of thunder but not much rain. All I can think about is some vampire baseball! Can I play? I play a mean third base!

It's breathtaking - congratulations...as for photo ideas...why an apple is always a good start with your hands showing off the ring...

That is an amazing idea thanks i will have to post some pictures up once we get them taken. My bestfriend and i were looking online at brides maid dresses and wedding dresses and is it bad that i thought what would Alice pick.

Gorgeous ring ... congrats!!! "...what would Alice pick." Love it ... if we all were so lucky to have a sister in law who would just pick out our clothes ... Id gladly be someones barbie doll. Good luck!!!!

Congratulations! Bet if you brought the movie poster picture your photographer could pose you like that! Or what about the Entertainment Weekly cover!

This is a fun thread! Don't you just love finding Twilight references! I had a car full of Twilight fans when we saw a yellow Porsche drive by! I'm sure that poor person was wondering why a car full of people were hanging out the windows waving and yelling Alice!!! I'm lucky that I have friends at work & at Church that are huge Twilight fans so whenever a reference comes up I'm not the only one who reacts! Now when it thunders someone always calls out Vampire Baseball! It's so much fun, like having a secret language!

I just HAVE to post what happened to me this weekend. I got to go to Forks while my husband and I were in Seattle for a football game. It was the most fun, most crazy, most silly thing I think I think I have ever done. I left at 4:30a armed with only my google map of how to get there, and some advice from other TM's about what to see. I won;t go into the whole trip, that is for another post, but this is the part that belongs on this thread.

I went to see the Hoh rainforest on the advice of a fellow TM, and it was amazing. Like another planet! Anyway, I drove to the visitor center, hiked a little around the trails there, took a ton of pictures, and then headed back to the car. I got my little girl all buckled in (she's almost 2, and I can't wait for her to get old enough to read the books so i can tell her we went and toured Forks together) anyway, I got her in, got in the car, and pulled out of the parking space. That is when I noticed it!

EDWARD'S CAR WAS PARKED RIGHT NEXT TO ME!

A SILVER VOLVO S60R, WITH WASHINGTON LICENCE PLATES! WITHIN MILES OF FORKS!

Yes, the same one from my avatar! And I have had that as my avatar since my very beginnings on TM. I laughed out loud! And then I took a bunch of pictures because I knew no one would believe me! It was hilarious! And a little eerie. And extremely surreal! I still can't get over it!

And then I sped off as quickly as I could, in case the poor owner of the car saw this crazy person taking pictures of his car while she was laughing out loud! :crazy:

That is so awesome!!! I probably would have fainted if that car was parked next to mine! I hope you will post pics of your trip (and the car of course)!
