sykin & annalisa's pics added
Okay now that they are done filming the “FORKS PROM” in the Gorge, at the View Point Inn, I can fix the information that was given to me. I was asked not to say anything while we were trying to figure out what they were doing, here at our high school and before the Prom was done being filmed. So I know that this is late.
The TMI’s know that this scene was for something but they are not sharing so we will have to just wait until the movie comes out, which will be neat to see.

I just wanted to clear things up because I don’t like to be the source of a rumor, wrong info or confusion.
Tues 8thThis starts out with sykin PM me, asking for information on the location and directions on how to get into down town. They head on down, from Seattle, after work and I arrived to spend part of the evening with them.

4/8/08 – 4/9/08: St. Helens Filming Location {UPDATE BY sykin}
My adventure starts out with my best friend (Annalisa) and I deciding to drive down to St. Helens, Oregon from Auburn, Washington (halfway between Seattle and Tacoma) to see if we can star-gaze. I was just as excited to be near a movie set as I was at the possibility of being able to see some celebrities. So we leave just before 6:30pm and head down…arriving at about 8:45pm (after getting a little lost finding the place). We parked across the street from the food tent and catering trailer. We met up with TwilightFan after 9, and basically just walked around, teasing the security guards, until after 1am. Originally, Annalisa and I had planned on driving back home during the night so I could make it to work on time. We decided as we hadn’t seen anyone come down from the filming location that we’d stick it out until 5:30am…when we really WOULD have to leave so I could get to work on time. The most exciting thing that happened during the night was watching the security guards and police officers drive by our car 500 times. Seriously…I don’t know if they were checking up on us, running our plates to make sure we weren’t dangerous, or actually watching out for our safety…but they kept coming by our car every time we moved, which would then wake me up for fear of missing someone coming down the hill! Needless to say, we both got very little sleep that night – probably about 4 hours of very interrupted, very COLD, sleep. We got up at 5am, just as crew started to really arrive and start setting up. This is when we realized that they hadn’t been filming during the night and we had stayed for no reason. AH! We walked down to the gas station (the only thing open at 5:30am) and by the time we got back, the whole area was swimming with people. We checked out the food tent to see if we could see anyone, but they were still getting set up. So we head back to the car and what do we see?! All of the cars for the movie! Bella’s truck, Edward’s Volvo, Emmett’s jeep (x2), and Charlie’s cruiser. All parked right around our car. After a few pictures, I called TwilightFan to tell her to get her butt down there as people were actually there now. Nothing overly exciting happened otherwise. I saw Taylor Lautner pull up and get out of a van to head to wardrobe/makeup. I saw either Kristen Stewart or one of her doubles show up (I think it was a double, honestly). My husband ended up calling me RIGHT as I was trying to take a picture of Taylor in his wig. I ended up yelling at him for it, which didn’t help the argument we were already having. Haha – oops. Priorities…LOL Anyway – after that, we ended up leaving because I was REALLY late to work at this point (I had already called my boss). Then I get online and check out TwilightFan’s post and my heart sank into my stomach. The one person we were really looking forward to meeting, and she gets a picture of him. And a very good one, I might add! But all in all, it was a fun adventure – and not something I would’ve normally done. Annalisa and I are looking to go to future filming, if they head back to up to Washington again. First Beach, anyone? Most likely Robert won’t be there, but just seeing all the people doing their jobs was so cool!
*************************************** I got down there at about 9:15pm. We spent the evening walking around go up and down several other streets in town to see if we could see the house. No luck it is on top of a huge hill and hidden by trees. You must go up the driveway/road to see it. This is the actual set so we were not allowed up there. We knew that before we arrived. My hubby and I had already been down there on Mon evening and early Tues morning. We waited around until 1:00am, just hoping that they were going to show up after filming. The security guard wouldn’t even tell us if they were still filming or not. I came home and went to bed. Sykin(TM) and Friend spent the night in their car. I will let them share their story with you.
Wed 9thThen this morning at 6:45am sykin(TM) called me and said they have taken all of the vehicles out of hiding…Bella’s two trucks, Edward’s Volvo, Emmett’s two jeeps, and Charlie’s cars. So I had to hurry and get ready. We arrived down there at 7:45am. By that time Bella’s trucks were up on the set, along with Edward’s Volvo. I did get a couple of pics of Emmett’s jeeps. They are so cool looking up close. We spent several hours waiting watching people take costumes up to the set and the transport vans haul them all over. At one point in time a van pulled up and let Taylor out, he went into wardrobe and makeup. He came out looking like Jacob. That wig looks good on him. They were really fast about getting him into the van to head for the set, so we missed getting a pic of him.
I returned home around 11am, made lunch and took it with us at 12noon. We were hoping that by this time the cast & crew would need to eat. We waited until 1pm before they broke for lunch. That was a long morning. At 1pm a huge flood of people started coming down off the hill from Charlie’s house and heading for the food tents. They brought the cast down in the vans. I was able to get a pic of Charlie getting into his trailer, and Bill Black walking to lunch. Then I headed over to get a pic of Bella’s truck. As I was walking back I reviewed the pics I’d taken, shut off the camera, got in the van and put the camera in the seat next to me. I looked up to see Edward not six feet in front of me. I fumbled my camera out of the seat and by that time he was heading across the road. I’ve had several people ask why I didn’t stop him to take his pic, well he was on his cell phone and that would have been disrespectful. So I only got the backside of him. After waiting all day for them to come down the hill I was in shock when I looked up and he was right there. Because it happened so fast it kind of startled me.
My son came hone from the high school saying that the people from Summitt Entertainment had been there and were measuring the cafeteria windows for something.
Thurs 10th One of the things that Summit has had to deal with is because of the location...everything has been very spread out, trailers, food tents, parking, equipment trucks, etc.
I went back down to the set around 7:45am on Thursday morning. At about 9:15am I ran into a friend, here in town and we got our morning walking in, by walking around the streets where everything is set up with a child in stroller and baby in a pack. It was beautiful weather too. We almost got a picture of Charlie after coming out of hair and makeup. Boy are they fast about getting them into the transport vans. Maybe today I can get more cast pics.
SAD NOTE ****I found out why they were so late getting on set this morning. They filmed the scene down on first street last night and I missed it. Oh Fiddle!
Fri 11th Then today we went down to the staging area to see what was going on. They hadn't even moved the cars around at 8:30 this morning. So we took this opportunity to take pics of the cars. We are going back down at lunch to see what's going on. The crew parking lot was empty too. Edward & Bella hadn't even arrived yet either. We figured it was due to the late night filming last night.
The bummer part was that they had taken Billy & Jacob's trailer away...so I think they are gone for good now.
We found the Summit Crew Parking Lot today.
We got a good pic of “trailer city” while we were driving…very tricky.
We fixed a lunch-to-go and headed back down town to the staging area. We have been doing this for three days now. We arrived @ 12:30pm and stayed until 1:30pm. While we were there we could see more filming in the driveway/road. These are the pics of Bella and Edward in the driveway. At 1:30pm I headed over to the high school to pick up my son. I took my camera in and took lots of pics of everything all over the walls of the cafeteria and the office. I checked in with our wonderful office personnel and she told me that they were there yesterday (thurs)@3:30pm. So we figured that they would be back again too, obviously! Today was supposed to be their last day in SH.
CORRECTED INFO!!!***The things that I was taking pictures of were “Forks High School” posters plastered all over the St. Helens High School Cafeteria and the High School Office. And let me tell you they had a lot of them posted everywhere. These posters were up because they would be filming the Fork High School “Prom” in our cafeteria. {at least this is what we were told} OMgoodness! I was shocked because I had heard that it was to be filmed elsewhere, the View Point Inn in the Gorge. The other thing that was very noticeable was all of the heavy duty electrical equipment and generators inside and out.
After I did this we head back down town. I wanted to see more of the cast when they broke for lunch. We arrived @2pm. We got to see two of Bella’s stand-ins and two of Edward’s. The two of Bella’s looked really close. Edward’s wasn’t as tall as him so when he walked his strides weren’t as long. Then they broke for lunch right around 3pm. They brought Charlie, Bella & Edward back over to the trailers. We caught Charlie & Edward going into their trailers. Charlie stepped into the trailer in his fishing gear and came back out in his police uniform and headed back up the hill. Edward was in his trailer for what seemed like forever…when he came out we got a quick pic and then we met him out on the sidewalk. He was heading to lunch/dinner. I another friend of mine was there and her little girl loves Robert from HP3 as Cedric Diggory. She was so excited to see him and he agreed to have his pic taken with her. Yes, I got mom’s permission to post it with the cute little blonde in it.
I also got a couple of pics of the inside of Emmett’s Jeep and Edward’s Volvo. The crew that has been there has been great and accommodating. It has been nice to get to know them. After these pics it was 3:30pm and time to head back to the high school. We wanted to see what was going on there.
When we returned to St. Helens High School they were not there yet. So I visited with the staff in the office for a bit until they started showing up outside. We went into the cafeteria and notice that there were markings on the floor for positioning some of the props and people. Yikes, more proof! We sat around for a little bit chatting with a few of the band students. Then the equipment trucks started arriving. They started off-loading cart after cart of electrical equipment and then they announced that the students needed to get their stuff and get out of the building. They brought in three huge semi trucks, the small wardrobe truck, five of the six transport vans, the two equipment trucks and another vehicle. In the mean time all of the “extras” came into the cafeteria, about 20 of them.
They were the extras for something, but NOT the PROM. Josh, Kim & I spoke to a lady from Summit. She had a beautiful foreign accent. They were going to need several pieces of the HS Band Equipment, percussion stuff, moved into the cafeteria. Josh & I went to work cleaning and organizing the band room. We needed to be able to get the percussion instruments out of the room without the chairs and stands in the way. Three guys from the equipment crew came in and we all got busy taking those instruments that they needed down into the cafeteria. We took the marimba, the two largest timpani, the vibraphone, the huge set of chimes on the stand, two music stands and the bongo drums. They already had a baby grand piano that they had brought in on Thursday. I wished that I had taken a pic of the instruments after we had them all set up in there. The guys were great to talk with. They were tired and said that they had been up in the Gorge setting up all day, they had this to set up and then they were DONE for the day. HUMMM…I wonder? (this IS where the real Prom was taking place…You can find Rhonda’s & Lynds story on TMI’s thread.}
After moving things around they all came back into the band room and two of them decided to play on the drum set. They were GOOD! While we were listening to them play three of the “extras” came up there because they could here the drums going. One of them, who looked kind of like Edward, pick of one of our bands students’ personal electric guitar and started strumming on it.
Me: Please be really careful with that, it belongs to one of the students.
Josh: He won’t care.
Edward look-a-like: sure
Me: Are you guys extras?
E look-a-like: No, I’m a stand-in for Edward! {well DUH! I should of already known that}
Me: Is it okay if I take your pic
E look-a-like: Sure!
The girl beside him was playing the piano, I noticed as she left the room that she looked like Bella from the side. The went back down into the cafeteria and a couple of ladies went to work on trimming the guys’ necklines with razors and getting them ready for "WHATEVER" they were filming.
This was so cool to be able to chat with them for a bit and listen to him play, he’s pretty good too.
Later that evening I went back around 9pm and left at 10pm. They were still going strong. When I went by at 6:30am this morning{sat} there was no sign up them even being there.
I don't know if I'm sad that they are all gone OR if I'm grateful that I can get back to a regular schedule in my life, probably a little of both. It has been a new & wonderful experience.
I have to say to Summit Crew and to the Cast of Twilight…you have made this a fun week! Even though it was a “closed set,” it was still fun to be around where the “ACTION” was. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I would like to apologize for giving the info that this was the Prom that was being filmed. I now know that they wanted whatever it was to be a secret and that the Prom was not filmed HERE!
TY also to TMI’s for helping to clear this up, you guys are great!Kat, Missie & Annalisa

Missie & Annalisa...the security guard watched them all night where they parked the car. They didn't do anything they weren't suppose to do. They juft froze waiting for things to happen.
