UPDATED...
The things that I was taking pictures of were “Forks High School” posters plastered all over the St. Helens High School Cafeteria and the High School Office. And let me tell you they had a lot of them posted everywhere. These posters were up because they would be filming the Fork High School “Prom” in our cafeteria. OMgoodness! I was shocked because I had heard that it was to be filmed elsewhere. This was so exciting. The other thing that was very noticeable was all of the heavy duty electrical equipment and generators inside and out.
UPDATED...
When we returned to St. Helens High School they were not there yet. So I visited with the staff in the office for a bit until they started showing up outside. We went into the cafeteria and notice that there were markings on the floor for positioning some of the props and people. Yikes, more proof! We sat around for a little bit chatting with a few of the band students. Then the equipment trucks started arriving. They started off-loading things and then they announced that the students needed to get their stuff and get out of the building. In the mean time all of the kids came into the cafeteria. They were the extras for the Forks Prom. Josh, Kim & I spoke to a lady from Summit. Josh & I went to work cleaning and organizing the band room. We needed to be able to get the percussion instruments out of the room without the chairs and stands in the way. Three guys from the equipment crew came in and we all got busy taking those instruments that they needed down into the cafeteria. The guys were great. After moving things around they all came back into the band room and two of them decided to play on the drum set. They were GOOD! While we were listening to them play three of the students came up there because they could here the drums going. One of them, who looked kind of like Edward, pick of one of our bands students’ personal electric guitar and started strumming on it.
Me: Please be really careful with that, it belongs to one of the students.
Josh: He won’t care.
Edward look-a-like: sure
Me: Are you guys extras?
E look-a-like: No, I’m a stand-in for Edward!
Me: Is it okay if I take your pic
E look-a-like: Sure!
The girl beside him was playing the piano, I noticed as she left the room that she looked like Bella from the side.
This was so cool to be able to chat with them for a bit and listen to him play, he’s pretty good too.
Later that evening I went back around 9pm and left at 10pm. They were still going strong. When I went by at 6:30am this morning there was no sign up them evne being there.
I don't know if I'm sad that they are all gone OR if I'm grateful that I can get back to a regular schedule in my life. Probably a little of both. It has been a new & wonderful experience.I have to say to Summit Crew and to the Cast of Twilight…you have made this a fun week! Even though it was a “closed set,” it was still fun to be around where the “ACTION” was. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!UPDATED PHOTOS...Evidence that something was going on...
