TS & Dazzled's Forks Trip Day 3!!! Pics included!

Day 3!!!

Again, we had a really late start getting out the door. I had another great night's sleep and it was too hard to pull myself out of bed. So after packing up and checking out, we were on the road at 11:00 AM. I was a bit ticked off at myself for being so sluggish, as we really didn't have time to do a lot and get home at a reasonable hour. So we decided to hike Rialto Beach and go check out the tidepools, that should take up the perfect amount of time.

Rialto Beach is super close to the lodge, so we were down there in minutes. Another GORGEOUS day outside…warm and not a cloud in the sky. We started our 1.5 mile hike down the beach. Rialto Beach is just north of First Beach, so it was basically the same. Rocks everywhere, logs everywhere, but the waves were outrageously HUGE! I am talking, Hawaii status. I tried to get pics but the pics don't do them justice.

On our way to the tidepools and the Hole in the Wall (a rock with a huge hole in it), right above us we saw 3 bald eagles flying around and hanging out in the trees!! It was amazing. The one I saw, the beak alone had to be around 6 inches. I tried to get some good pics.

When we got to our destination, the tide wasn't quite all the way out yet, so we decided to make some more fun sayings in the sand, this time with the driftwood. Dazzled made a few, one that said "Edward" and one that said "Edward + Bella" and mine said "Twi-Hards RULE!" and then I made one to say "Twilight Moms." As I was preparing to take a pic, a VERY oblivious father & son walked right THROUGH "Twilight Moms" and wrecked it, so I had to refix it and then take another. Very funny…I mean, I was there, with camera, focused on the ground, and BAM. Walkie walkie right through my pic and ruin the logs. OH well, at least it made is laugh & stratch our heads. And at least it wasn't some fancy sandcastle that they plowed through. LOL!

The tide finally receded enough for us to get some good tidepool action. We saw starfish, anenomies, mussels, etc etc. And we walked through the hole in the wall! 

But we had to get going, we were starving, had already spent about 2.5 hours on the beach, and had a mile and a half to hike back. Which we did in record time. And I have the sore thighs to prove it. We all have the sore thighs to prove it. It was awesome and well worth it though.

We are starving, so we check out Sully's Burgers. Can you tell we love our burgers???? Wink

It was fantastic. A great place. PLUS, they have a Bella Burger! (see pic) and they also had fun arcade games and a photo booth. THOSE were fun to take!!!

We sort of tried to find Charlie's house, but we really needed to get home and it was already 4:00 PM. 

Our way home went fast. We talked and theorized about the books and movie and it was just a really great time.

I had the most fun ever.

Bella's Burger... pineapple and tomatoes? Hmmm.... Cool that they have one, though! Did you try it?

Yes, mushrooms. Didn't even think of that. I guess we don't know much else about Bella's food preferences except that she doesn't like Swedish meatballs or overcooked spaghetti. Very Happy
