I LOVE these books too! I was so desperate to find something that would hold me over until Twilight did something new, and I am getting hooked on these too! I am on the 4th book now because episodes were moving WAY TO SLOW! lol! As to who I hope Sookie ends up with...not sure yet, maybe cause I haven't read all of them yet I really like Alcide and Bill AND Eric all have their great qualities. I just enjoy the experience of actually liking all the characters since I guess I feel more in Sookie's shoes like that.

I have all the books. As soon as I'm done with Dark Hunters I'm starting.
I got the 1st episode from Blockbuster and I am thinking of ordering HBO just so I can watch the rest.
If I can wait I might just buy the season when it comes out.

I love "True Blood" and am new to TwilightMOMS so its nice to see other fans out there. I haven't read the books yet though, but I need to get on that!!

Okay, so tell me...does anyone else think Sam might be some sort of werewolf? For those of you who have read the books, don't tell me!!!! For those of who have just seen the show, what do you think??

It does seem like he is some sort of werewolf---or as SM says, a shapeshifter....
From the 'barking in his sleep' comment from Tara, the picture of the dog in his office at the bar, and this dog just appearing at those ceratin times....it would seem that way. It looks like he is a dog- the red/white dog...
What throws me off, though, is a scene where that dog comes up to Sam when he is sitting on the steps of his place, and he plays fetch with it. Could that be a shapeshifter, too? Or, just a plain, regular dog? That really confuses me. Maybe Sam is a shapeshifter- or werewolf- and we just have not seen HIM yet....
I dunno... that's my theory...
~Kim

JUST 54 DAYS LEFT...YEAH!!!!!
PS. Oh yeah, I think Bill makes a comment in the 1st or 2nd episode when the dog is close by about the dog being some sort of protector-or Sookie makes the comment to him can anyone refresh my memory? :Yoda:

Order them online, otherwise you will keep finding them sold out in stores, or they will have the one after the one you need...I kept having that happen to me so ordered from Barnes and Noble, bn.com...if your order 25.00 worth, which is 4 of them, shipping is free! :)

And don't forget when Sam went to the waitress's house (the one that died...I can't remember her name) and laid on her bed and was all like smelling it and rolling around. Kind of like a dog does... :what?:

I have to agree that Sam is some sort of shapeshifter.

I actually reserved the first book from the library, so I am hoping to get it in the next few weeks.

So far I absolutely love the show (including the theme song). I definitely feel that it is going to become more and more interesting as time goes on.

I love this show, too. I forgot about Sam sniffing the bed, like he was some sort of dog. It was made to look completely sexual, but I think t was really SENSEual. Too bad for Mrs. Stackhouse I wonder if the same 'person' is killing these women. And Jason....he is looking REALLY ragged on this V-Juice! Ugh! I am a little hesitant to read the books, like it will give something away. I have the first book, I just haven't picked it up yet. I finished 'The Host' last night, so I may just pick Sookie up tonight.
I really love Bill. He has the charm of Edward, just older are more 'mature'.
These charming British guys are really getting to me!
~Kim
PS. 'The Host'=Awesome!

I love this series.. I have read all eight books, and I am waiting for the nineth book!!!! I secretly hope that sookie ends up with Eric... I know her first love was BIll, but as you get into the series and see how Eric and Sookie react, you will see why... I just love the part when Eric addresses Sookie as " My Lover" those two words make me go all guey in side with added butterflies!!!! :flower:

I love Trueblood. Its a great show. I do think that Sam is somesort of shapeshifter and he takes the form of the dog that came up to him on the porch. I have not read the books though I want to. I am starting to think that Sam might have something to do with the murders. If a vampire did it they would have drained all the blood and its the people who kind of encouraged Sookie to see Bill. I dont know just a theory.

At first I wasn't so sure about the show, but it's definitely growing on me. That's probably because I read the books already, so I was having a hard time with some of the characters. I would love more of Sookie and Bill right now, but they're trying to set the whole story up. I can't wait for more Eric. If your on book 4, just wait!! I lucked out and got all of the books at the library. I wasn't sure I would like them, so I didn't want to buy them, but after reading all of them I would definitely buy them now. I think the librarian thought I was nuts, because some of the books were out and every book I was asking for had the word "dead" in it! LOL

I have bought all the books, but waiting for book 6, since they didn't have it at the bookstore, and I started reading them, and forgot I didn't have it, so I just ordered it online so waiting on that book, before I get to the next two. I sure hope it comes tomorrow.
