Ok, so here is my story: I live in SB county, so I had a long way to go. I left my house at 5:30am, after only getting about 4 ½ hrs of sleep (I was nervous and excited). The night before I had spent about 2 hrs making some awesome posters for the show. My hand was seriously cramped up! So, I am driving to Universal, was about an hour away, when angellove calls me and says that Universal is on fire. I kind of freaked out, but she said she would keep me updated. I continued on my way since I had already gotten that far. I ended up getting to the parking lot at about 8:00am. I parked, walked to the globe and then marisas731 came up to me. She brought me to her group so that I wouldn’t be alone. We hung out for a while, then Amanda joined us. Fast forward a couple of hours, endlessly walking around trying to find info, no food, & the heat. When CaliCat called Amanda and told her she was getting them tickets, I knew I had to go. I made a split second decision, called CaliCat & asked her to get me one too. So, after a couple more hours. we found out for sure that we (the twilight fans) wouldn’t be able to see the red carpet. They said that the whole thing is staged and the bleacher seats were already cast. Obviously, we were disappointed, but I knew that we had tickets to the show, so that made it a little better. So, once we get inside, they directed to an area where we had to wait. There was the black curtain and we realized that the end of gold carpet was right by where we were. We stood by the glass doors and waited, in the hot stuffy room, for stars to come by. We saw that Rob and Kristen were the first stars to come through. Rob looked amazing and so did Kristen! After that, I was thinking that was the best it was going to get. I figured I saw them from about 10 feet away and that was so cool. We go sit down at our seats and start watching the show. I kept texting Marisa asking where they were sitting and we were trying to find where Rob and Kristen were sitting. I pulled out my sister’s professional camera that I had brought with me. I zoomed in as much as I could and scanned the audience. I finally saw Rob walking along the side, then go up the stairs. I quickly told Amanda and CaliCat. I didn’t know that CaliCat had gotten the number of the girls that we met earlier. So, I’m sitting there watching the show when all of a sudden, Amanda tells me that the girls met Rob and talked to him for about 10 minutes. I was amazed! I go back to watching the show, when Amanda tells me that the girls called CaliCat and said that Rob was in the lobby. Seriously, we grabbed our stuff so fast and bolted out the doors. We walk along the hallway (we were upstairs) and then find the stairs. We’re walking really fast down the stairs, our eyes scanning the lobby. Finally, like the Red Sea parting, I see Rob standing there, beer in hand, talking to his friend. By this point, I actually see him and my heart starts pounding. We walk up by where they are and wait for them to stop talking. They both looked at us, then we walk over. CaliCat starts talking to Rob and I’m just standing there staring. HE IS GORGEOUS! He noticed my TM shirt and made the mafia comment. He was laughing when he said that and it was so funny. His friend asks if we want pictures and we were like “YES!” We take some pictures, I’m right next to him. He has his arm around me and I have my arm touching his back. SQUEEEEEEEEEE! Then, after the pictures I start talking to him. I told him that he is great as Edward, he gets all humble and says thanks. I then tell him that I love Twilight and devour anything I find. I said that the movie looks great and I can’t wait. He says that he has seen some clips and he doesn’t think we’ll be disappointed. I was like “No, we won’t be, it looks great, from everything we’ve seen.” I then tell him that his American accent is really good and again, he says thanks. The whole time we’re talking, he’s smiling and I’m just trying not to stare. He was seriously so nice and looked so freakin good. I wanted to touch his hair so bad, but I was good. So, I asked CaliCat if she thought it would be okay if I asked him to sign my Twilight book. She said yeah. So, I said “Rob, would it be okay if you sign my Twilight book.” He says “Yeah, of course.” Right after he said that, he friend started to pull him away. When I saw that, I wasn’t upset that he wouldn’t sign my book because I had already talked with him and taken pictures. Then, like the great guy that he is, he brushes his friend off, and says he can still sign it. I quickly, as quick as you can go with shaky hands, get my book out of my bag and hand him a pen. I open the page to where Stephenie had signed it and told him he can sign by Stephenie’s. He signed my book, then they went back inside. We hung around in the lobby, so excited & nervous, and I’m sweating & shaky. I just could not believe that happened. We’re still in the lobby when the shows ends and everyone starts coming out. We have ours eyes out for Rob just in case he comes back out. We see him again and get more pics with him. When I went to stand next to him, he was holding his Raybans. I go to put my arm behind him, accidently brush his glasses and hand. Seriously, I wanted to die, I was so happy. I still can not even believe that happened. This was the best thing to ever happen to me. I was telling my husband about the experience when he brought up a good point. I had told him that when I was talking to Rob, it was loud in the lobby and it was hard to hear. Rob leaned in to me so that he could hear what I was saying. So, I was basically talking directly into his ear a couple of times. Imagine, I was THAT close! My husband said that shows a lot about his character. He said that he could have just stood there and pretended that he could hear what I was saying. But instead, he leaned in to actually listen. I didn’t even think of that, but I totally agree. Rob was so awesome, totally cool, kinda chatty (I think cause of the drink, but I SO did not mind). He is seriously perfect in person and this was just the best experience I’ve ever had. I don’t think I will stop smiling for, um, like forever! So, last night as I was trying to go to sleep, but still thinking of Rob, I think of a silly name for us. Rob said that we were like the mafia, so I think up: TwilightMomfia! Totally dumb, I know, but I was still in the Twilight Zone! Here is what you have been waiting for:

marisas731 sorry I just read your story. I love that he wants a uniform! I do too you should sell them! And the balloon story, I feel bad for actors when fans are crazy around them. It has to be a little creepy. I'm not saying that I would probably cry or pee my pants if I saw Robert but I would try to wait until he walked away!

Ok, seriously I am going to move to California and I want to live in the same area as Calicat and Amanda! You girls have the best luck ever. You should go by some lotto tickets while your at it. I couldn't be more jealous. So happy for you all, but jealous non the less. I had no idea you could by tickets to that! Maybe I need to do that next year. I am sure we might be up for some awards then right?

No it is not just you. He was smoking on Sunday. I was impressed. He has definately got the dazzle down.

Darn you girls! Everytime i read this thread I get jealous all over again. Here i sit in KY- far away from the action - and the closest I will get to Rob is the Edward Cullen teeshirt I'm wearing! But seriously, I'm soooo happy you got to meet him & that he really took the compliments seriously and realized that you weren't just crazy fan girls. I hope he understands how sincere the compliments are, and that we're not just obsessed with his looks. He is really a fantastic actor - he's like a cameleon (sp?). It amazes me when I look at pics of him in all his different roles! he's going to be a huge star and NO ONE deserves it more! Team Rob all the way
