I liked reading Twilight again for those little things I missed. Like understanding why Edward was acting the way he was when he was looking so angry at Bella, blowing her off and all that. I also caught how Bella noted the Volvo in the parking lot.

I didn't do the math before. Bella stopped visiting her dad in Forks 3 years ago. The Cullens moved there 2 years ago. So if she had visited her dad, and Edward had chanced upon her scent, could he have resisted? Would the result have been different if the first assault upon his senses hadn't taken place in a room full of innocent children? Would he have been obsessed enough to follow her back to Phoenix?

In the hospital, when she demands to talk to him in the hall, it says "his jaw suddenly clenched." Now in NM, I know exactly what that means, but for some reason, in all my previous reads, I just thought, oh he's bracing himself to deal with her because he really doesn't want to have this conversation. But in NM, he does this when Bella is threatened. That means she is under threat in this situation. Even Bella learns to watch his jaw for lines of stress in the series. But this early in the books, I just didn't see threat, I saw Oh I have to go deal with this. But she was in danger: The threat of exposure of his kind means the death of her, the threat of being so close to him when he hasn't learned to deal with her scent yet. It took me 5 times to get this

I was just thinking about this lauralee. I don't think that Edward would have harmed Bella even then, because Edward, being Edward, would never have harmed a child, and he would have seen Bella as a child at 15.

I have just finished my first re-vamp and have still missed the "stupid shiny volvo owner" quote. Can someone please tell me where it is?

Actually, one of the things that I missed was that blue was Edward's favorite color on Bella. When I revamped I think I may have said "Ahh" outloud. I love the little details SM puts in.

I can't seem to find where the "spider monkey" comes from...or is it a movie quote only???

that is a movie quote because no where in the book does he say the words 'spider monkey'

Oh, can I just say that I find that movie scene ridiculously cute, but I literally cringe when he calls her "spider monkey" because it's NOWHERE in the book!?!?!? Okay, breathe...calm down, focus on how fine Rob is...

Good observation!! I never picked that up, even after my 5th time reading it. Now I'll pay more attention when I see Edwards jaws clenched!
