The way I see it - there are MUCH worse things to obsess about or get addicted to!! I'm usually not one for reading books twice either - esp not back to back! But I'll be reading through some of the posts here and think - 'when I read them the next time I'll have to look for that part....' They keep getting better - I see the foreshadowing that's in the earlier books, and it just fans the fire to keep re-reading them!
note to self - must find sly way to tell DH I really do want to see Goblet of Fire badly!! :)

the intensity will change, but won't go away - like with any other love affair. tw has captured my imagination the likes of which i haven't experienced since anne rice's vampire novels or frank herbert's dune series. i became absorbed in each universe. hp was good, although i must confess i've been rereading book 4 and had to put it down - it just didn't measure up to tw.

I started Twilight again on Friday. I was sooooooo mad on Saturday when I was done with it because i found out that my dear husband 'misplaced' New Moon. If he were at the house when he told me that i would have rung his neck.. I told him if he didn't find it by the time he got back he's gonna have a lot of making up to do lol..

I am on my 4th g round, and I am able to pull new things from each of them each time I re-read. I was able to finally put them down though, and move to another series (which I am re-reading as well :-) ) The Hollows series by Kim Harrison, which incidentlly *sp* is also about vampires, werewolves, and other mythical creatures. My DH was so proud of me *giggles* that I was able to let go of Edward in favor of Kisten for a while, but I am sure that it is short lived.

I like to think that it's once a week (at least) mandatory viewing!!! In our house, there's still Nap Time (thank heavens).

It sounds horrible saying this, but I really hope this obsession does die down some. I'm finishing the series for the 5th time since the day that BD came out! I've just finished with MS on Stephenie's website. Not to mention the countless number of fanfiction that I've submersed myself in. The bad thing is that since I've discovered the fanfics I've done maybe one hour of work each day. How sad it that. I may have to work overtime just to catch up!!

My husband has not been a happy camper through all of this. It got so bad that last night I wasn't paying attention to my son and he ended up cutting his finger with a knife!!

I am gearing up for my second revamp, because I'm telling myself that I must read something else first. I'm trying REALLY hard to get into the Host, but I just keep wanting to go back to Forks.

I'm thinking that it won't possibly be as good as the first time, so I'm making myself refrain. But can it be as good? I don't want the happy buzz to end!

It gets better every time.

Sure, I didn't not breath the entire time through NM until Edward was back (I swear I didn't the first time. I forced myself to read it properly though, not skim through it, By the end I felt like I was in physical pain!), but that doesn't make the story any less good. I noticed more my second time through, tiny little plot points I'd missed, the humour especially.

Well, I'm fresh in the intensity of the Twilight world since I only discovered the series mid-August (yes, just last month!!!) However, I'm FULLY IN THE MODE. I check out TMs, Twilight Tuesday, lexicon, youtubers NoMoreMarbles and LusciousLolly, hisgoldeneyes, bellaandedward.net, bellaandedward.com, stepheniemeyer.com, etc. DAILY. I've watched the movie trailers more times than I can count.

Re: Rob himself, I've googled his name and searched for images. I've hunted down his past interviews on youtube. I was fortunate enough to catch "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" on TV a few days ago, taped it on my DVR, and then wondered to myself how old he was when he played Cedric.

I think in time, the obsession will grow a bit weaker, though right now, I'm fully lovin' it! :hyper:

It is so good for me to read these posts. I just posted for the first time on the newborn forum. I read the Twilight series for the first time last week and am now reading it again. It is just as powerful the second time. I'm amazed at what little things I missed the first time. I am so sad about MS because after reading just a sample of it on sm's site, it made me crave more!! It just upped the intensity, if that's possible. I can't imagine that the obsession can last too long, but then again, I never expected it to begin in the first place! Just happy I'm not alone!!

I am actually rereading the series for the third time since Breaking Dawn as been released. As I've read in previous posts on here. Each time I read the books I gain a new perspective. I actually went to the book store a couple of weeks ago to get other books to read. I tried to read them but I always end up putting them down and go for the Twilight books again. I have a friend reading the series for the first time and I told her I would read the books along with her so we can talk about it. I would love to be able to read another book but I can't seem to break away from Edward and Bella. The books have become part of my life now. I've loved books ever since I was a little girl and I have never been this affected by any book I have read. I guess I just don't want it to end.
