This is my predicament too.
Don't know if I can come up with a good enough excuse to go to San Diego before the signing.

You can probably just order off of Amazon to be there on the 6th. I actually have to watch my neighbor's kids that day but I am hoping that the bookstore will be open by 9am since I figure I will drive up to SLC to get the book (and my ticket) and then be back home by 10am. I think I will DIE if I have to wait all day to read it! :)

I admit when I first heard about The Host I was not interested (I don't read science fiction) but now that I've become a serious Twilight fanatic, I cannot wait to read it! Maybe it will change my mind about science fiction. I'll be at the MOA as well to get my copy!

I'm SO excited to read this and discuss it w/ everyone!! :)

FYI-I canceled my preorder through Amazon, as they won't ship until May 6th, which means you won't get it until a few days later. SO I'm preordering w/ Barnes & Noble as you can pick up the day it's out and pay for it then. :)

I can't wait either I really was torn at first about reading this because I was like if the twilight series can do this to me then what will the host do to me. But know I can hardly wait to read it. :D :D

I am so exited The Host will be here soon :D . I am so looking forward to reading another of Stephenie Meyer's books. I love the way she writes & keeps you interested the WHOLE time. I can't wait. :mrgreen:

I'm pretty interested in this book too...

I will have til august, because i order it in amazon along to Breaking Dawn, and i ask for a combine shipping... an abously i will read BD first... but i really want to read it too :wink:

My mom just started reading the Twilight books and she said the same thing!! I know that when I finish "The Host" she is going to want to read it as well. :mrgreen:

I'm loking forward to this book, I absolutly LOVE TW but I think it will be cool to read an adult fiction book by Stephanie too. My hubby will be out of town in May so I'm sure I will end up reading it in 1-2 days (even if that means waiting until my daughter goes to bed and staying up most of the night!)

I can NOT wait until Host comes out! I'm so excited that it was chosen this time. I did read City of Bones and City of Ashes (and enjoyed them) but they just don't read like SM's books. The time is passing ladies!

oh, I sooo can't wait to read it! I plan on getting it right away and bringing it with me on my vacation (I leave May 10) but knowing me... I will already have finished it. yay for SM!
