Well in the Twilight books I of course love Edward. But I still like Jacob and want him to be happy in the end. Just not with Bella!
But with Jared/Ian I like them both. I think they both have the bright spots that you could go either way. It wasn't as clear cut for me like with Edward. Ian is I think more compassionate and understanding. Jared I picture as rugged and passionate. I love the way it all worked out though...

I am for Team Jared. I think because he is a bad dude.

I'm a sucker for a sweetie so I'd have to say that I'm an Ian girl all the way. I've struggled with Jacob and Edward for some reason because I got caught up in both of their characters. For most of New Moon, I was so angry at Edward that I was starting to become a Jacob fan. By the end of it, I was torn and stayed that way through Eclipse.

But when it came to the end of The Host, Jared didn't hold any appeal for me for some reason. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just because I go for the rescuer type of guy. The one who swoops in and takes care of you when the other guy has hurt you, that kind of thing.

I don't think that there is a way to choose between then. Since it's not your typical love triangle. Melanie loved Jared and Wanderer loved Ian...you can't choose one or the other because they both love different "people".

With Edward and Jacob, for me it's cut and dry...Edward and Bella are soul mates so I choose Edward. With Mel/Wanda...Jared is Melanies soul mate and Ian is Wanderers so it's not the same.

That being said...if I were to choose one that I would want for myself I would choose Jared!

what's funny is i'm still team switzerland when it comes ot jacob or Edward (and i've read the seres three times; you figure i would have made up my mind by now) but when it comes to the men in the host i have made my decision... IAN!!!! that's right baby!!! TEAM IAN!!! the description of him reminds me of emmett... big, bear-like, rugid, but so caring and gentle... i love him... it's so nice to know i can atleast make some decisions when it comes to fictional men lol....

I can't choose I loved them both they are both really good characters. they both brought things there that you would like Jared was so worried about Mel all through it but also cared dearly for Wanda and then Ian oh he was such a sweet heart this for me is a lot harder because they both were so wonderful but I guess if I had to choose I would say team Ian oh but I can' I want to put them in a bottle and shake them up and make the perfect guy so I can have them both.

I love them both and got frustrated well more with Jared but I love them both

I definitely choose Ian! Although I have LOVED all of SM's characters, I have not "fallen" for any of them. I guess the guys just weren't my type. However, that all changed when Ian came onto the scene. He is so much like my husband that, for the first time, I fell head over heals for a fictional character. I think my DH got a real kick out of it too.......the fact that I totally crushed on a character that reminded me of him.

I'm going to have to go with Team Ian on this one. Though I did like Jared...he wasn't hers (Wanda) to have. And what kinda sealed it for me too, was that Jared quickly went out to find another host body to cut up once he found out Melanie was still "inside" and that was a turn off...i don't know.

I flip flop between Edward and Jacob... depending on my mood - so I choose Fire and Ice. But, with the Host... I am absoloutly 100% Team IAN.

My daughter and I have actually gotten into arguments over this. She is team Ian and I am team Jared. I just can't help it. Ian is so sweet but Jared just makes my heart stop. My palms get sweaty every time I read the parts with Jared in it. He might seem mean but the love of his life was taken from him, yet he still had to look at her body every day. That had to be hard. So, I am 100% team Jared.

I am so pro Edward, I have to remind myself that Jacob isn't a bad guy.

But between Jared and Ian. I thought for sure I was team Ian all the way but another mom makes a good point. The guy lost the love of his life but still had to stare at her body everyday. Ian came in and never knew Melanie, he only knew Wanda. AAAH, so hard!

I think I still have to choose Ian, (Feeling remorse even as I write )

I am so glad that Jared and Mel got to be together, but what made me happier than anything is that Wanda got Ian; thats all I wanted - Wanda herself didnt love Jared like she loved Ian, it was Mels body and Mels memories that made her fall in love with Jared - Wanda and Ian are soulmates, in all the senses of the word.
