Okay...so my nerves are shot! I have to have surgery in TWO days and I'm beginning to hyperventilate! Right now the only thing keeping me some what sane is Twilight! I began reading it, for the third time, in an effort to escape reality. (Also, I wanted to read all three before Breaking Dawn.)

I feel really bad because the 4th of July is going to suck for my kids. They are really worried, my husband is going out of town the day after my surgery for the entire weekend and I'm not going to be able to participate in any of the activities of the weekend with them. My parents are going to take care of me and my kids 'til Sunday. I know they will be fine and will have fun, it's just that I have so much guilt. Because of this, we had to cancel our annual summer family trip and it feels like we just keep pushing them off to someone else.

Sorry! I just needed to vent a little! You girls are always so supportive and helpful with things that I never thought of!

Just take a deep breath and relax. You will make it through! Best of luck with your surgery.

I know how you feel, as I had surgery before. Just relax and deep a lot of deep breathes. Everything will be fine. Do you have family or friends who can help out w/ the kiddos while your hubby is gone? Just keep revamping Twilight and it will help you be calm. :) Better yet, imagine that Dr Cullen will be in the room doing the surgery

I like the Dr. Cullen idea. I'll have to try that next time I have to have a procedure. It's good that your parents can be there to help. Your family loves you. It will be okay. It's much more important to take care of your health than worry about one holiday weekend. If possible just enjoy the time you get to be recovering on the couch while someone else tends to your needs and the kids needs. It doesn't last long and you'll be up and responsible for everything again. Best wishes for you. Enjoy Dr. Cullen & Twilight!

Surgery can be terrifying. I know that relaxing is easier said than done although certainly try and relax if you can. I'm sure you have doctors you know you can trust. If so, try to stay focused on that. Think of it this way. Once it's over you never have to worry about it again. You WILL be O.K. I'll say a special prayer for you.
Keep us posted on how it goes!

Thank you all SOOOO much for the kind words and thoughts!! :D See, I said you guys always remind me of things that I never thought of...Dr Cullen!!!!

I think it's a GREAT idea to picture Carlisle as my own doctor walks in to begin! Maybe it will spawn a few "Twilight" dreams while I'm under!!! :D

Thanks again!!

I'm glad the Dr Cullen idea helps! I know that would help me. :)
Then when you're under you can have those peaceful dreams of being in Forks.

Good luck with your surgery! It is hard being sick over a holiday. I was pretty sick over Halloween, and I felt sooooooo guilty-I didn't even get to take my kids out trick or treating. But they don't even care. They got to do fun things somewhere else. I felt way worse about it than they did. I'm sure your kids will be the same. Sure it sucks, but I bet they don't even worry about it!
