I am looking for suggestions of series worth reading. I'm enjoying languishing in characters for more than 1 book.

I have read the Southern Vampire Series books, The Outlander series, The Women of the Underworld books (Bitten, etc..) and some other vampire series that were way too high school to mention here.

So.... any ideas you can mention? Doesn't have to be supernatural themed...

Thanks in advance!

I can think of several that are REALLY good:

The Gemma Doyle trilogy, Libba Bray
The Goose Girl trilogy, Shannon Hale
The Charlie Parker series, John Connolly
The Odd Thomas trilogy, Dean Koontz

I'm sure there's more, but my mind is blank, however I highly recommend reading all of the above book - just great!!! :D

So this book is not a series and totally crazy but Decipher by Stel Pavlou.. Not sure if anyone even reads this kind of book. It's a rise of Atlantis/end of the world/scientific book and it was awesome. I like reading all kinds of books not just the vampire books which I have alot of. He also has a book called Gene that I have not been abe to find at the library. I only buy paperback, do not have room for hard cover and they are harder to trade (I live in our local book exchange store, which only takes paper backs)

What other authors do ya'll read?.. I took note of the ones listed. I think I have read some, will have to go back and check.

A very funny series is "Confessions of a Shopaholic" by Sophia Kinsella. There are probably 5 or so books in the series. VERY funny!

I recommend the Gemma Doyle Trilogy aswell. I'm currently on the second book and I'm so into it.

Nancy Turner has a great series, I just learned of the third one and I am anxious to get it. It starts with These is My Words, Sarah's Quilt, then Star Garden.

They're set in the late 1800's about a girl (Gemma) whose mom kills herself so she moves to London to a boarding school. There she starts to have visions and soon learns she (and her mother) is part of a group called The Order. She can go to this place called The Realms which is all magical and the most beautiful place. Gemma has an Indian man (Kartik) looking over her and he is a part of a group called The Rakshana whose purpose is to look after The Order and he warns her that The Realms are a bad place and she shouldn't visit them. Blah blah blah, main premise...

They're pretty good. I was a bit skeptical at first because they sound kinda funky (just like with Twilight), but I heard all good things about them and now I'm hooked.

:D Ok well the whole Vampire thing must sit well with you... since you obviously love Twilight... so I'm going to recommend another Vampire series Black Dagger Brotherhood Series. 5 books on the shelf and the 6th to be released in June. HOT reading. By JR Ward :D

They really are fantastic, you won't be able to put them down.

Gosh, I need to stop reading these posts, I have a list of probably 100 books I want to read.
