Haa, I have read several of VC Andrews as well! Well, the last ones aren't written by her at all though.

The Flowers in the Attic Series
My Sweet Audrina (very odd)

and I know I read the other one with all the jewel names, but I can't remember them now, it's been too long!

The flowers in the attic series was the first I read, in middle school.

I never have read my sweet audrina yet, I own it though.

Ruby series is the one your thinking of and its one of my favorites.

I haven't read any of the new ones.

I just finished the "Queen of Babble" series by
Meg Cabot. It's a very fun, fast-paced series.
I finished all 3 books over 2 days. They are so
funny and the lead character Lizzie Nichols is
hilarious with how she's always putting her foot
in her mouth, I am SO like her

The Strongbow Saga series by Judson Roberts.1. The Viking Warrior,2. Dragions from the Sea 3. The road to vengence.I could not put these down.He has 2 more books to be written to finish the series.Only draw back is the thrid book leaves you hanging and have to wait for the next.

There is also Jennifer Weiner who wrote
Good In Bed...In Her Shoes..Goodnight Nobody...Little Earthquakes.
Not necessarily a series, but her character from Good In Bed gets woven in her other books one way or another. Funny read, too! That counts as a series, right?

Then there is Something Borrowed and its sequel Something Blue...and I forgot the author!
Another funny story about 2 best friends, one a hottie the other plain...the plain one ended up "stealing" her best friend's fiancee...bleh, bleh. Nothing like a Jerry Springer story at all, but it pretty much explores how important friendships are and finding love in people you least expect.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I've read or am in the process of reading:

SVS
BDB
Dark Hunter series
Anita Blake
Carpathians - Dark series
Riley Jensen
The Women of the otherworld series
The Prime Male Series
Knights of Darkness Chronicles (D.N. Simmons)
Kresley Cole's Immortal Series
(duh) Twilight

I think that's it. So if anyone has any questions on these, there are some really great series out there.

OH! For the "faint of heart" I must add that he D. N. Simmons series does include some male-on-male sex scenes.

Just sayin'.......

The Ringing Cedars of Russia series.... it is the highest selling series in Europe and the most stolen book in Europe. The books genuinely change your life.

I've read upto book 7 and they've just released book 9 I believe.

Oh btw, these book are based on true accounts not fantasy :D

I'm on book 3 of the Wicked Series by Nina Bangs. They aren't earth shattering but they are good...steamy romance and sex scenes not to hard on the cussing.

They aren't vampire books, but there's a good series from Mary Hoffman. It's the Stravaganza series. The 4th book just came out, but I haven't had a chance to get it yet. The first 3 were really good. They're about modern day teens who find talismans that will cause them to time travel back to the 16th century to cities that resemble modern day Italian cities.
Each book got better.
They're:
City of Masks
City of Stars
City of Flowers
City of Secrets

I've only seen City of Secrets online so far. I'm sure it's in a bookstore, though. I just have to get out to an actual bookstore to look.

Hope I didn't repeat if someone else mentioned these first, but I didn't see them when I read thru the posts :)

I'd say The Penn Dutch Mysteries by Tamar Myers. They're kind of goofy and stuff but I think they're a good silly read and they all have receipes and stuff in them (kind of like Diane Mott Davidson's do). Also I like the Fred the Mermaid ones by MaryJanice Davidson. The third book is coming out this fall.
