Darn it, I was just at "The Bookworm" today (my local independent bookseller) and thought about picking this up, but got "A Great and Terrible Beauty" instead--guess I'll go back tomorrow! This sounds fun! Thanks Rhonda, Lisa, and Steph!

Yeah I am so excited about this book discussion. I am a HS English teacher, and WH is one that I always do with my seniors. It will be refreshing to discuss it with a group that actually WANT to read the book :)

I also am a fan of Wuthering Heights-It has long been a favorite of mine -of course I love and hate it at the same time. It is wonderfully written, but completely devastating. I remember loving Heathcliffe, and feeling so horrible for him and wanting the ending to be different. I am so excited about this book club. I am in one right now-but the other women in the club definitely don't have the same taste as me, so I end up reading a bunch of books I would not have ever chosen. I have also recently rediscovered my love of the classics, especially Jane Austen, thanks to Twilight. I have three children and with little chance to sit down and read (the guilt described on the home page is so true-my kids are destroying the house as I speak, but it's worth it) it has been a joy rediscovering the feeling that comes from reading a good book.
If it would be okay-we should recomend favorites to eachother-as it is always nice to have a recommendation from others with such fabulous taste.

A Great and Terrible Beauty is great also-I think you'll enjoy it. I myself am waiting for the second one-The Sweet Far Thing, I can't wait-it has gotten me a little sidetracked from reading the twilight series over and over. :D
