The only thing I've ever had involving spam is a hamburger hash type thing, only with spam. (fried potatoes and spam) and I loved it! My hubby doesn't like it, so I've never made it...

Okay, for those of you who say "I won't ever eat Spam-- there's no way I could possibly like it!", I would just like to remind you that there was once a book....a, um, well, it's a vampire love story, actually ("What? I could never read that--there's no way I could possibly like it!")........You just never know til you try it!

And here's a super EASY recipe that has won over my Spam-skeptic friends:

Spam & Pineapple (with rice)

1 can Spam, cut in strips or cubes
1 can pineapple--chunks or crushed *drain and reserve juice!!
Brown sugar, to taste
cornstarch
Cooked rice

Fry Spam lightly. Add pineapple chunks. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Mix cornstarch with reserved pineapple juice and add to pan. Heat and stir til thickened.
Serve over rice.
Serves 4, I think.

My kids inhale this stuff :) . Trust me! If you try it and don't like it, I'll pay you back for the Spam  .

LMAO

i was watching Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the Food Network channel and Guy went to this Hawaiian Restaurant, where they made a Spam "hamburger". It was rice, spam and then wrapped in a banana leaf.

i laughed. Made me think of this thread!

Spam is fine, as long as its the low sodium version. Little cubes of it mixed in with hash browns can be really good.
