I am sure others will post their observations as well, but here are a few of my memories of Solomon!
1. He was hilarious!!!! We were all laughing the night away.
2. He was very intellectual without being a bore. Does that make sense? By his conversations you could tell that he thinks very deeply, but then he is also able to convey what he is thinking in a down to earth way.
3. Not shy that I could tell. He seemed a bit overwhelmed by our enthusiasm at first, but then he just went with the flow!
4. He has given a LOT of thought to Sam's character. He has all these questions of him. I hope we will get an interview with more detail on these. But, one that made us all laugh.... "Since the werewolves all heal so quickly, what would happen if one of them went to get a tattoo? Would the ink just all swirl around as the skin was healing?" OK.... seriously funny! And, who would think about stuff like that? He had other Sam observations, but I don't want to spoil in case we get that great interview.
5. He is very proud of his Native American Heritage. It was lovely to hear him talk about it. Almost reverently. His story of how the length of their hair is significant was amazing! I hope they don't make him cut it! (Solomon.... push for the wig!!!)
6. It was hilarious hearing how life was for him on campus. He was so modest about it. We were asking him stuff like.... "Do other students recognize you?" and similar things. He said (I am summarizing here) something along the lines that the PSU students were more along the hippy lines and most of them didn't have any idea about the books.

I KNOW!!!! He said the math majors that he is with all the time are "really into math. That's all we do, so they could care less". It was funny! He was very down to earth about it. I only hope he knows what will happen to him once the movie comes out!
7. He was very gracious and accomidating. He took pictures with anyone who asked, and was a great sport! He even came over to the other table (those of us that didn't get to eat with him) and talked to us for a long time. He was so so nice!!!
8. He said that Taylor is channeling Jacob and has immersed himself into the Quileute culture. He assured us that Taylor is AMAZING as Jacob.
I am sure there is more. But, those are the things I remember off the top of my head. And, I am sure others will add. Thanks for letting me go down memory lane again!
Thanks for your great observations and description of him. He sounds like a very fun to to spend some time with. I love his thoughts on a werewolf getting a tattoo!
