SideKick! You rock the casbah (spell check! )!!!
So I was talking to my friend who learned how to decorate cakes recently and made the cupcakes for her sisters wedding (casual) and for my baby shower. I asked her if she would be able to make us a cake for this party and make it a wedding cake with layers. She said she'd love to, but she will be out of town that weekend, but she could make a fake one and decorate it just like a real one though, if we wanted. But she is worried that she is not professional enough for this. She has a really cute idea about making it with white fondunt (however you spell that) and maybe make a red bow on it, like the red satin sash on Eclipse? I said that sounded cool. I just want to know what you guys think. She will do what we want, but she is not a professional. I would just pay for the cost to make the cake, that is all she expect! (And to be allowed to come to the party, but she won't be in town anyway!) So, what do you guys think? If we want to have a cake to eat after the party, for those of us who are cleaning up, we could buy a costco cake to just eat then. Let me know what you think! _________________

^^^If she's willing to do it then I think that's awesome! I love the red ribbon idea. Since we're not allowed to eat it at the bookstore anyway then I think a fake one would be great. I'm happy to chip in for the expenses too.

Sara that sounds awesome!! I'm totally down for buying the planning crew a costco cake and eating it afterwards, after that day I think we will all deserve to induldge in something sweet like that as our own private treat lol but I think the guests will enjoy looking at a beautifully decorated cake! _________________

She is a fan and will be at this party, and is willing to do the cake at cost as well! So..... we are going to have her do it! It is just to perfect! So exciteing!! Thanks so much, Marci (and friend! ) _________________

Dang, I wish we were all going to be at the same party. Metaphysical_muse and I work at the Temecula B/N and are planning the party there. It will be fun, but we will miss all of you guys! _________________ "So, Edward, you like mountain lions. Well, have you ever jumped a shark?"
