SO I realize that this might not be the best time to start this thread as the season just finished last week, but I thought I'd give it a try to see if there are other Smallville fans here.

I started watching just after season 4 or 5 (can't remember now) ended, but was able to see the reruns. My brothers had been telling me for years to watch it but I had so many other show I had been watching that I just didn't want one more. Then Alias ended and I had time. I rented the the first 4 seasons and went through them like water! I couldn't get enough!
Tom Welling, Micheal Rosembaum and Alison Mack are all amazing.

So any other fans?

I'm a fan!

I love them all. Even Lex. He may be evil, but he's smokin' hot! :D

I liked the earlier seasons better than the past two. :(

Yeah, the last two seasons have definitely lost something ( and I hate the addition of Kara-sorry if you like her ) but I still absolutely have to see it every week. :D

ETA - James Marsters was incredible this season though!

I LOOOOOOVE Clark, but yea, my religious viewing of Smallville kinda ended with the whole Lex/Lana thing. So the last two seasons, I mostly just watch with the sound on low.

That was a thoroughly disturbing storyline, wasn't it ? It'll be interesting to see what they do with the final season though, with both Lex and Lana gone now.

I have been a fan of this show since it started. I really despised the Lana and Lex marriage and the way she treated Clark. I have been a Chloe and Clark shipper for quite some time now. Although the sparks between Lois and Clark are great. There are so many villians in the DC universe that Lex not being there most of the season will not bother me. I cannot think of how they will make Clark okay since he, the Fortress, and Lex all sunk in the finale, especially since Lex has the power to control Clark. Hmmm....

I loved James Marsters as brainiac. I loved him in Buffy too.

Ah see, I'm all about Clark and Lois. Chloe and Clark are a great combination, but it would be doomed from the start so I could never quite be a Clark/Chloe shipper.
Don't get me wrong , it doesn't bother me with Lex and Lana being gone at all...I'm just curious to see where they go from here. They have made the show sooo much about Lana for the past 7 seasons, I wonder how they'll adjust to her finally being gone. I'm hoping with the original producers leaving, (or having already left now I suppose ) they can finally get back to focusing on the best part of the story...Clark.
James Marsters was so great as Brainiac this season, he was so creepy..more so than season 5, I think. Maybe I was still adjusting to
" Spike" with brown hair and an American accent when he first came onto the show though, lol.

I like Clark and Chloe or Lois. I like Chloe's intelligence and wit, and I love Lois' streetwise, no-nonsense kick-butt approach to things. Either one of them are worlds better than whiny, dainty, poor me Lana. Not a Kara fan at all. I do love Lex, but the Lana thing was just a disaster. My neice and I (when she was in college and of legal age, of course) would watch and play the Smallville drinking game. You drink when Lex mentions his security team, or his experts, or how he came as soon as he heard. You drink anytime Lana whines or cries or gives Clark a longing look. You drink every time Chloe comes up with some vital tidbit on the internet which solves the mystery. And you drink every time Lois makes a wise crack. You get to take a break anytime the camera is on Clark, cause you really need to keep your focus on the hotness with all that drinking going on.

In any superman verse, I'm all about Clark and Lois (Lois & Clark, anyone?). The last couple seasons have gotten... different, than before so now I basically watch out of morbid curiosity and because Tom Welling is   *GUH*. Lana has always driven me nuts! It'll be interesting to see how it goes without her on the show.

The drinking game sounds hilarious!!

I actually like Kara. But then I think I like any one new to bring something different to the show. I loved Oliver Queen and really wish he would come back. Maybe since his pilot tanked he'll be back next season.

But yes, the last few seasons have gone way off the beaten path. Hopefully they'll give us a strong final season....as a thank you for sticking with it through the thick and thin (mostly thin!)

Oh I love Oliver Queen. I am hoping that he comes back. Since the writers strike everything has been messed up. They were supposed to bring back the Justice League for an epi or two and then didn't.

Kara, I can take her or leave her. She really is not someone vitally important to the show.

I still am reeling from the episode when Lois was introduced and Clark came back to Earh naked... When can we get more of Tom Welling naked?

None of those are my favorite characters. I guess if I had to pick one it would be Clark. Oliver is my favorite character and Justice was my favorite episode and I have watched SV since the day it first aired on the WB. I really wanted a Oliver or JL spin off. Maybe someday it may happen.

I hate Clark and Lana, love Clark and Lois. My hubby likes Clark and Cloe. I also couldn't stand the addition of Kara. And I can't see what evil Lex will bring to the table (if he's still on next season I heard a rumour MR wasn't coming back, but I have no idea if it was bogus or not).

Information on next seasons cast:

MR is not signed on for season 8 but might make an appearance. KK was leaving the show at the end of season 7 but she might be back for a couple episodes (she's still on the starring cast list for next season though). AM has been bouncing back and forth between coming back next season and not (TV Guide says yes, but she's still not on the cast list). AA will be back as Jimmy, ED will be back as Lois. LV (Kara) will not be back as a regular but will make an appearance to resolve the season 7 finale. JG (Lionel) was signed on for season 8 but since they killed Lionel, that isn't going to happen. Two new characters have been announced.

All my information is from http://www.kryptonsite.com which I've found to be reliable and accurate.

All in all, the only thing I'd be sad about is Chloe.. but, getting away from the DDS can't be easy without Lex pulling strings!

I voted for Chloe, only because she's my favourite SECONDARY character, but, of course, Clark's my favourite! There wouldn't BE a show without him.
