Scariest parts of the series

Okay, I know there are many, but what parts of the series did you find to be the scariest?

Laurent in the meadow!

I knew someone was going to save her, and at that point I didn't care who it was. I was never so happy to see a bunch of werewolves appear than at that moment.

I loved that part too. Laurent made my hair stand on end, but when the pack of HUGE wolves showed up.... my spine turned to jello. I can't imagine what I would have done at that point.

I remember thinking "Thank goodness a vampire" I was so exited to see Laurent in New Moon lol I was going thru vamp withdrawl!!!

The scariest part for me was the end of Twilight JAMES!!! Their phone conversation he was so calm and terrifying! And the ballet studio still gives me chills!!

The part at the end of Twilight with James when Bella finally realizes that Renae is safe, but that she isn't, and James starts filming their conversation, you know that it's not going to be a pretty picture. My heart started pounding a million miles a second.

The Port Angeles scene - by far.

I had no idea what I was getting into the first time through Twilight. I was very leery of a vampire book and I had no idea "how far" Stephenie Meyer as an author was going to take me. I was terrified when Bella was "herded" by the men in Port Angeles. The rest of the series was a piece of cake after that. My next scariest part was Rosalie's story. Similar scenario. I find it horrifying to think about.

I know this isn't the kind of "scared" that you are talking about but...in NM when Edward left I was really afraid that Stephenie would not have him come back. That was my biggest fear!! Other than that here wasn't anything in any of the books that scared me.

I agree with two of the above stated moments:

The phone call from James to Bella (creepy psycho vamp, he really backed her into a corner!) Evil or Very Mad

And also the two scenarios where Rosalie and Bella were victimized/nearly victimized on dark sidewalks. Huzzah for heroes: Carlisle and Edward!

The scenes that have Jane in them. In Italy, and when she shows up after the fight in Eclipse. *shudders*...she just really freaks me out.

And of course from the point that Bella asked Jacob to kiss her, on. *grumbles* I was just scared that she was really going to leave Edward and be with Jacob.....I just really hope that Bella and Edward are happily together in the end.....I haven't totally convinced myself that it will happen. Neutral

In Eclipse when Bella learns that Jacob was hurt but she passes out before she could find out he lived. I was afraid to turn the page because I thought Jacob was dead!

OME!!!! I have talked and talked about how one little word could mess with my head so much, I even try to think of ways it could mean something good....LOL really every time someone I know gets finished with Eclipise, I ask did you notice THAT word????

YES!! I didn't care for the "conceivably" much either. I think I understand her frame of mind during that scene, but I was kinda hoping for a little more enthusiasm on her part.

Ok....I even know what the word means and I must have read that same sentence 100 times trying to find even a crumb of something positive in it. I actually looked conceivably up in the dictionary because I thought maybe it possessed some sort of dual meaning that I wasn't aware of. All that did was fill me with more angst! Shocked
