I just started watching, so yes, I can say now he played sheriff Valenti. His name is Billy Sadler, and yeah, he's been in a ton of stuff. Movies and tv shows.

I do see how the Max/Liz relationship is similar to Edward/Bella's. I am kind of glancing at replies so I don't read something I don't want to see. since I am watching it now, I don't want to get spoiled. :)

I just saw him in Disturbing Behavior,I think that was what the title was, with Katie Holmes and the guy from XMen.  Anyway, I do like him, he is great.Pearl

^^ Yep, he was in that too.

Ok, so I am on season 2 and the whole season is so new moonish. The whole Max/Liz/Tess triangle is worse than Edward/Bella/Jacob! I hated Jacob and Bella too a bit, but even though I don't like Tess and Max together it's not fair to any of them.

I am only halfway through season 2 so please don't spoil me. I don't want to know what happens. I just wanted to vent. I was so upset while watching the prom episode though. I felt like I was reading eclipse again. I don't know if I could have done what Liz did, with Max trying so hard. How sad.

How come there are only 21 episodes in season 2? I figured season 3 has less because it was lucky to get that far??? I know Roswell had problems keeping up ratings. I think that now people are more receptive to scifi/fantasy type shows, where five-ten years ago they wouldn't have given them a chance.

Have you guys been to the make rowell a movie site (something like that)? I think it's a bit too late now. Kind of like how Buffy fans like myself always hoped for a Angel movie or spinoff.

Yeah, that did remind of of that triangle. Don't know why there is only 21 episodes. I think you will like the final ending. They kind of summed it up a bit.

I'm so glad you've decided to watch it. Roswell really is a great show, and I think they did a good job with the ending...

Oh, you know Billy Sadler! I really liked him in it! The first time I watched it I didn't realize what a great character he was, but the second time around I was able to really appreciate all that he did for them.

I'll just wait until you've finished season 3 before I post what I was going to, that way it won't be spoiled :)

Hope you like the show :D

Well I finished season 2. I liked season 1 better. Kind of how I feel about Twilght and New Moon, lol.

Tess, what a skeezer! I never trusted her, but wow, I didn't think she'd be do that. I mean the Alex and Kyle part, the Max part was obvious.

I liked seasons 1 and 2, but I didn't like the beginning of season 3 so much, I thought the second half was better..

I didn't like Tess either! But then when she was living with the Valenti's I started to like her because I liked the way she interacted with her new "family", but then the Alex thing happened...ugh, that was horrible!

Oh, I was at costco and I saw that they sell season 1 and 2 together for 19.99, it's the ones with the new covers which put Katherine Heigl in the foreground. I never did buy them, and that is really cheap, but they didn't have season 3! :?

Sorry I'm so late joining the thread, but I've been a Roswell fan for some time now and it was exactly what I thought of when I started reading Twilight. He's something she doesn't know about, he risks it all to save her, they fall in love. I really have high hopes for the movie and I hope Rob and Kristen take some hints from the sparks and love between Max & Liz because I think that's why I love Roswell so much. My daughter said Twilight reminded her of Roswell as well and she's always pictured Edward & Bella like Max & Liz.

Hey, I just saw the first episode of Roswell. I couldn't help but notice a few (just a few) similarities between the Liz and Max and Bella and Edward. Am I really off and grasping at straws? Does everything remind me of Twilight? (Well...yes  ) What do you guys think? Are there any Roswell fans out there? (Is there already thread for this. I looked and didn't find one...but things do escape my notice).

I totally know what you are talking about!! I thought the same thing! I adored Roswell, and I miss it. (although the third season sucked) I see a theme running in all the shows that i've loved. Buffy,Angel,Roswell,Felicity, My so-called Life, etc.....

I think that it's the reason I love Twilight and now True Blood so much..... supernatural mixed with awkward humans, love triangles/ forbidden, intense loves, witty, sarcastic characters that are searching for who they are....learning about life..... etc....

I'm also a huge Lost fan...... and well...tonight I'm watching Fringe..... lol... so..... yeah..... more angst and paranormal..... yay! lol

I just found this thread and had to post, I know it's been about two months since someone’s made a comment regarding Roswell but I absolutely adored this show back in the day. And because I love it so much I had to post my own comments and gush about it. The similarities to Twilight are so there and if you look at the first episode when Max saves Liz he has that exact same look Edward has when he stops the van from crushing Bella the "what the heck did I just do" look. And they are also lab partners in their Biology class as well. I too was also wondering if Stephenie Meyer was a Roswell fan and thanks to this show and Twilight I came to the conclusion that if a gorgeous guy ever saves me from something he MUST not be human.

I thought the same thing too!! I too watched this show a lot when it was on. I need to get the series now. Heard they're cheap at Cosco? Now I want to watch this show. :)

This is SO weird b/c I heard the Roswell theme song in the car on my way to work this morning (great song by Dido, by the way), and I started thinking about the similarities between Roswell and Twilight.
Max saved Liz after she got shot at the diner- Edward saved bella from being hit by the van in the parking lot. Both of these things led to their secrets being found out.
And Liz/Max were partners in Biology, just like Edward and Bella. I'm sure there are many many more similarities.
I was a big fan of Roswell, I might have to re-watch the shows on DVD now!

I loved Roswell too. Michael the most. I had to watch Samurai Girl just to see if Brendan Fehr still had it all these years later, and boy does he :flower: He also has his own website, with cute pics of him with his new baby girl James. And according to the TV Guide Mag. (ladies set your dvr) he will be playing Booths brother on upcoming eppys. of Bones airing in Nov. And will be interested in Bones :paranoid: . Seely is gonna love that. And according to IMBD,and various past articles, because of his religious beliefs (he's a Mennonite) he was at least a virgin through his relationship with Maria DeLuca/Majandra Delfino. Which ended when he was 24. And he didn't get married until he was 28. So more power to him. I waited till marriage. Makes him all the more sexy to me. ;)

Would you believe that the same song is on SM's Twilight playlist? :pirate:
