Since I just joined this fandom a week or so ago, I've been not only devouring the books, but attempting to read some good fan fic as well. However, I've discovered that there is a vast amount of it out there and in many different varieties.

So I'm asking for help. What fan fics would you recommend to newbies to this fandom? I have to admit I'm rather partial to canon in this fandom and I'm not overly interested in reading WIP's that haven't been updated in a long time. I'm also curious about this AU genre I see a lot on FF.net. To me, it seems like it could be either very interesting or very, very bad.

So what would you recommend for newcomers?

ETA-- I'd really appreciate it if people could provide links to things too. I'm not trying to be pushy, but I'm honestly sort of overwhelmed as to where to look.

I have really enjoyed the fan fiction by Amy16, Blondie, and the writer of Boycotts & Barflies. Hope that gets you started!

Just click on the right hand side pull-down to get different ff's with different ratings. From 'T' <-teen rating to 'M' <-mature or as we call it, smut, rating. :lol:

I read this one today and really enjoyed it. I thought it was very imaginative and well thought out. There are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors, but the story is really interesting.

Okay, I really enjoyed this one - as in once I started reading, I couldn't stop until I was finished. Then, I discovered that there was a WIP sequel - which is also brilliant!

I read this one tonight and it is hysterical! It seriously made me laugh out loud several times AND IT IS WRITTEN BY SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY USES SPELL CHECK!!!! Her Bella is much more sarcastic than the Bella we all know and love, but really - so funny!
