Have you ever met a real life Edward. Not a vampire per se, but someone who encapsulates all his personality traits?

I have. Long before twilight was written I met one of my best friends at university. His name is David and his characteristics are so like Edward it is uncanny. The entire time I was reading Twilight, I was thinking, oh my goodness Stephanie is writing about David. David is like someone out of a bygone era. His speech, his intonations, his hand gestures, his clothes, his interests, his passion. His intellect surpasses most people I know, yet there is an edge to him, something a little dark and a little dangerous, encompassed with a latent power. You can simply feel when he enters a room. He dislikes the sun a great deal, and his beauty is a strangely chisselled one. The funniest thing is, before I knew him, my friends and I nicknamed him Vampire Boy, as he simply appeared as a vampire who attempted to go incognito.

I'd love to hear about other people's 'Edwards'.

Yes, there are many of them out there, I'm sure! I met an Edward once - I eventually married him. He is very much like your description. We used to joke that he even looked like a vampire because he has pale skin, rather red lips, and his two eyeteeth stick out a bit. He would sometimes get this look on his face like he would move to attack me, and my heart would skip a few beats. He did many things (and still does!) that fairly make me swoon. Perhaps that's the reason I like Twilight so much. While I read the books I couldn't help but relate Edward to my husband. Of course, he's read the books too and says I'm an awful lot like Bella...

A boy who went to the high school my mom taught at who was the "drama star".He and I became friends in college.

Not that he is vampire like but the old world description of Edward..the slight and floating figure, tall and ever present...haunting..bronze haired, pale skin....

*sigh*

I told him if he posted his teen pics on Facebook when he was the star of Joes Coat back in the 80's he would have a mass of teen girls writing blogs about him :D

I sent him a Twilight photo of Robert Pattison and he said "My kids think that is me in the picture..." ;)

And his name....

Robert :D

Sounds like Robert Pattinson is his doppelganger...lol.

My friend doesn't look like Edward per se, but he does looks like a vamp. What strikes me most is he has the element of danger that Edward has in the first half of Twilight.

My grandfather's name was Edward. Other than that I've never met any Edwards. Although my BFF dated one in college, I never met them though.

I knew of a guy that looked like Edward in my freshman year of high school. I never got to talk to him or anything so I have no idea about his personality, but holy crap he was dazzling lol.. I was sitting in biology class and this new guy knocks on the door and comes in, I swear to god you could hear a pin drop. I think he was supposed to come to join our class, so he was only talking to the teacher. He had reddish hair, was pretty tall, the most beautiful face I ever saw on a boy, and from what I heard he had a very nice soft voice. He also seemed pretty shy. I just remember staring at him and blushing like crazy. Apparently every other girl in the class had the same reaction because when he left the teacher, who was pretty old, said "well how about that ladies?". I just about died right there. I spent the rest of the week looking for him the hallways but I think he moved again. Anyways thats my Edward moment.

In addition to my dad and brother named Edward, I just remembered, the first guy I was ever head over heals in love with was a guy named Edward. What's interesting is that he had fair skin but his hair was dark brown and cut in the old "shag" haircut the guys used to wear in the early 1970's (I'm dating myself). He was not built like Robert Pattinson. SM's physical description of Jacob is more accurate for this Edward. He told my sister before he asked me out that he would never hurt me - and he didn't. Ironically, his initials are E.C. too.

Intense eyes, square firm jaw, very Edward like indeed Courtneyveronica. Your friend's name wouldn't be Bella by any chance?

My niece just married a total Edward. He's the kind of guy that has a presence in a room. He has impeccable manners, is very well educated, fair skinned, handsome etc. He was asked out all the time, and had a legion of young women vying for his attention. He has a melodious voice and looks you straight in the eyes. She on the other hand, is slim, lovely, uncoordinated and bright and didn't really date until college when the guys started lining up.
They are such an Edward and Bella. He's even very protective of her and tries to make sure that she is happy and her needs are met. And by the way, he is from the Olympic Penninsula of Washington.

My Bella and Edward (BTW neither have read the books)

My Edward's name was Kristopher, he was my Angel, he saved me. I met him my Junior year at a school dance. I guess for you to really understand why he was so special to me you need to know a little about my past. I was sexually abused, more times then I care to remember and was always thinking of suicide. Kris made me feel like I was the only girl that was important to him, he was never out of line, always a perfect gentleman. Although he had a ton of friends, he made me feel like I was his world. He always seemed to know when I needed him the most, he always came around to cheer me up when I felt my lowest. I broke up with him thinking that I wasn't good enough for him and he suprised me and still came around to spend time with me. I never told him how much I loved him and I will always regret that because he died my Senior year. His mom and stepfather had been fighting, and his stepfather got kicked out of the house. Kris stayed home because he didn't want to leave his mom by herself with them fighting. Unfortunatley, his stepfather lost it and came back the next morning only to bust in the house, Kris came out of his room to see what was going on when his stepdad shot him. I was so lost when he died, I honestly don't know how I survived other then the fact that it had to be because I just went numb like Bella when Edward left in New Moon.
This is Kris, my Edward
