Cassandra-

Will Clary get tutoring or help with developing and learning to control her talent/gift/powers in CoG?
So far, she can write out new runes and by using a rune to draw, can make it so powerful that everything around where she uses it is affected as well, depending on how much feeling she gives behind making that rune.
Will she have any other gifts?
And also does she still have her mother's stele, or was it lost when she destroyed the ship?

And another:
Will Clary remember anything that was spell protected that would be really important? Was there any other reason Jocelyn wanted Clary to forget things other than to keep her from the Shadowhunter world? Could there have been something Clary witnessed, besides downworlders or demons?

Another:

Can you tell us what the Inquisitor whispered to Jace?

Not really. It had the word 'father' in it...

Somehow I missed that earlier. What a tease!! Will we ever find out or is it always meant to be a tease?

There was one more, but I can't remember now...

No one's ever been able to do what she does, so there's no one to really tutor her, nor is there time.

Maybe. :)

She still has it.

Jocelyn's been avoiding everything Shadowhunter-related since Clary was born. There's no reason to think that Clary possesses any special memories of having witnessed anything Shadowhunter-related beyond the occasional Downworlder or demon sighting.

During the scene in City of Bones, when Clary and Jace are trying to escape the hotel rooftop, Clary and Jace are both thinking of possabilities. On page 287 you wrote,
Something began to take shape in the back of Clary's mind. A rune danced against the backs of her eyelids: two downward triangles, joined by a single bar- a rune like a pair of wings....
Was this rune something that she was just remembering, one that is in the gray book? Or is it forshadowing for her rune making ability that we found out about in City of Ashes? And, if this is a mind-made Clary rune, would it have made her and Jace fly away from the hotel?

It was foreshadowing of her rune-making ability. It was representative of her desire for flight in both senses of the word, but since she never used it, it's hard to say whether it would have worked or not. :)

I am re reading again CoB and i notice in the part were they are talking about the loyalty oath of the Circle. Well i remember when Jace and Clary were with Raphael and co and Jace told Clary that "Swearing for us isnt like it is for mundanes" "Ill be bound forever to any oath i make" that he wouldnt break it. Now my question is(maybe is a silly one lol)

How Jocelyn and Luke left the circle if they did a oath??? In the oath it says that " I hereby render unconditional obedience to the cicle and its principles" So i am curios, my enghlish is very bad or there something important here...or simply i am crazy lol.

Your English is fine, and I understand the question — though Jace was speaking specifically of swearing on the Angel, which isn't mentioned in the Circle's loyalty oath. Oaths are more binding for Shadowhunters than mundanes, but there are also ways to get out of them. In this case, the Circle is disbanded. It no longer exists, so the oath is null.

What are you working on now? Are you working on the next trilogy yet, the one in the Victorian era?

I posted a list of recommended books but I can't remember what page of the thread it was on. Here it is again:
Book recommendations:

The Darkangel by Meredith Anne Pierce
The Changeover by Margaret Mahy
The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray
Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith
Tithe, Valiant and Ironside by Holly Black
Peeps by Scott Westerfeld
Magic or Madness by Justine Larbalestier
Uninvited by Justine Musk
Unleashed by Kris Reisz
Blood and Chocolate and The Silver Kiss, Annette Curtis Klause
The Thief Trilogy by Meghan Whalen Turner

Also, I've realized that this is the end of April, so you'll be moving on to your May book. It was great fun having you read my books, and I hope you enjoyed them. Thanks for having me here for the questions! It was lovely to meet you all.

Best,

Cassie

So, I was reading your biography, Ms. Clare, and I saw that you have traveled a lot around the world. If you were to pick your favorite place to visit, where would that be?

Another Question: Are you planning a book tour for City of Glass?

It's very hard to pick a favorite place. My favorite big city is London and my favorite little city is Lucca, in Italy. Favorite landscape is tough. Lake Atitlan in Guatemala maybe.

Hey, *I* don't plan book tours. My publisher plans book tours. Book tours are arranged through bookstores via the marketing department of publishers; boring, but true. I would love to go on tour for Glass, and the tour for Ashes was very successful, so here's hoping! I'll definitely update here with locations if it does happen.

LOL... That is too bad that you don't have any say in the book tours...cuz I was going to say that there are some really awesome TMoms all over the country (Arizona and California for sure) who would love to meet you! ...hint hint...

I am so envious of your travels. I have never been off the continent before. : ( I have traveled most of the US, though!
