Thank you Clara!

And a big MAHALO to you, LISA, for putting so much of yourself into creating a home where we can all be so blissfully dysfunctional together! :D

I love being a Twilight Mom!!

Clara - What a great idea! Awesome interview!

Lisa - You are the mother of all us mothers. Thank you so much for all your hard work - I've said many times how lucky we are to have such a wonderful place on the internet that is fun, adult, organized and moderated. You are amazing, and just like Carlisle, you have attracted the best to your coven (sending some love to the VM's).

One more question for you, Lisa:

What has surprised you most with the website besides the growth? Have any of the topics or their popularity left you with that 'Wow, I didn't see that coming' feeling?

Again, thank you!

She talked to Dr. Cullen??? On the phone??? I didn't know that, how cool. Was that the interview she gave him? Where have I been?

He is somewhat computer illiterate. I actually had to teach him how to post his answers for the chat. It was SO nerve wracking, I could barely stand it!!!

But, WHAT A VOICE!!! He had been playing baseball that day and was tired by the end of the chat but called back to say Thanks and Good Night. *sigh*

The man IS Carlisle! SO Wonderful!

WHAT THE WORLD! I'm a little late coming to this thread!

That's so awesome.....

Great Q&A. I really enjoyed reading it.

Hey Clara, thanks for your really good questions.
And Lisa thousand thanks for your wonderful idea and all the work you put in TM.

Lisa and Clara, thanks for the great interview. I had been wondering where our wonderful coven mother had been lately! It was so nice to get to know some of the background of TM and how it got started.

Lisa, I want to say a special thank you for what you have created here. I know that I am not alone in saying that checking the TM site is my own little "escape" from the real world and I truly don't know what I'd do without it! I thought, when I joined, that it was nice to find this little website that I could go to and obsess about the books with other women. Now look what we've become! And TM has become so much more to me, personally! So, from the bottom of my heart-THANK YOU!!!!!!

Lastly, since everyone is posting suggestions for charities, I would like to offer mine. I think the "Go Red For Women" campaign by the American Heart Association would be good one to consider. (Hello-their theme color is RED! :D ) I also loved the idea of a blood drive. How funny would it be if we showed up all over the country with our vampire-esque tees on to donate blood! I would soooo be there!

Again, thanks!

Thank you both for doing this interview. I too thought that I was going through some kind of mid-life crisis. Then I started encouraging friends and family to read the series so that I would have someone to discuss it with. I love what you have done here, creating a wonderful environment for all of us to discuss to our heart's content. Brava Lisa.

I love this!

Quote:
My original vision for the site hasn’t changed much. I still want to provide a positive, uplifting, escape to a place full of friends and fun. However, I can see the potential of this site is greater than I ever anticipated, with so many amazing women, I’ve been able to feel the strength in our numbers and the example that we are.
I’d like for others to get the message that we may be working women, and/or just moms, but that we like to have fun too. That we have some mad skills! When we put our heads together, there ain’t nothin’ we can’t do! We have interests and talents and enthusiasm. We’ve found our fountain of youth and everyone should have that in their lives to keep from disappearing into the mundane routines we get into as life settles down.
I want girls to look to us and say to themselves, “I want to be like that when I’m a mom, or aunt, or lawyer, or receptionist. I don’t want to ever let go of who I am and what I love.” Also, I’d like girls to stop being so mean to each other and realize that this is how it can be! A worldwide network of women is perhaps the strongest force upon the face of the earth. When we are older life teaches us that we women are here for each other in ways that only we can understand and appreciate. We all need each other.

Awsome interview...

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Especially to Lisa, for creating a safe haven for all us crazy ladies in love with fictional 17 year old's. And for all the Volturi Moms for all the hard work they put in the site so we can always have fun :)

This interview was wonderful! I have been wondering about Lisa, since I don't see her post much: is the site still what she hoped for in the beginning? Is she overwhelmed with all the administrative stuff? Is she happy with what we've become?
I can't describe what it means to have a place to be just me.
I just feel like this site is a blessing- I'm so grateful!
I would be honored to help with any part of what TMs is up to, so feel free to call on me!

Ditto here. Lisa, thank you so much for what you've put together. And thank you to all the AAs, VMs, and TMIs for keeping it up, running, and a great place to make friends and avoid housework! You ladies simply ROCK!

Thank you Clara and Lisa! What a fabulous idea to interview our wonderful Coven Mother! I have another question....Lisa....what do you think about the fact that to many of us you have become like a celebrity and everyone is so excited and anxious to meet you? I do feel honored that I have been able to meet you...you are a kind, thoughtful, genuine person...thank you for giving us Twilight Moms! You rock! I've mentioned this under the get together threads but my favorite thing about TM's is definitely the LIFELONG freindships that I have made that NEVER would have happened without Twilight (thank you Steph) and TM's (thank you Lisa!) :D :D :D

The influence it has within the Twilight fan base. I've gotten a lot of emails from teen fans that say they respect our rules and requirements and want to create a fan site with the same positive atmosphere and don't use all the netspeak.

Way back, I made reference to wanting to keep Stephenie in a jar in my basement... (for personal reasons which my lawyer has advised me not to discuss right now. )
Well that then evolved into a joke about me keeping my favorite hottie in a jar in my basement...

Now, there is a thread in the Hotties forum with the most comprehensible collection of hotties in jars you will find anywhere... (not that anyone else would ever think of something so off the wall and rather strange  ) and the collection continues to grow.

Being put into a jar on TwilightMOMS is now a show of status. A hottie has to be deserving of his own jar.

Ha Ha Joke's on you! I'm only cool on the internet!
When I first meet people I'm a kinda shy and nervous. I'm nervous at every get together and I have a hard time talking on the phone so I don't make very many calls (my husband has always told me I have a phobia of the phone and I have always called him the "phone queen". We are total opposites in that department). I don't like to be the center of attention, that makes me even more nervous and shakey.

I'm nothing like a celebrity in any form of the word! And I most definitely don't feel like one.
