Pro Jacob

Okay, I realize I take my life into my own hands here, trying to start a pro-Jacob link, but hear me out. I do not diss Edward--Edward rocks. I, however, think that Jacob rocks more. (I married my Jacob, so that may explain my preference.) So for anyone else (is there anyone else?) who likes Jacob, post away here.

Any BTW, there is a really great site, Sort of Beautiful, that is pro Jacob/Bella.

The first time I read Eclipse I was one of the Jacob-haters. (*ducking out of gypsy's reach*) But with subsequent revamping I've grown to see the good in Jacob. Now I'm very pro Jacob.

That being said I have to state that I'm pro Jacob imprinting on someone wonderful and leaving Edward and Bella alone!

Yet again, I do not hate Jacob. He a very nice little doggy & he needs to go play with the other puppies elsewhere. But, if he can be nice, he can come play here sometimes, too. But if he can't we will have to muzzle him... with whips & chains & leather for Gypsy!! Surprised

Yes, I have seen the good in Jacob, but YOU CAN"T overcome an ECLIPSE!!!

I think Jacob is great and I care about his story, but I love Edward and think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

DITTO! I love Jake - how could you not? Wink

But I think he needs to find his happiness elsewhere. LOL

How do I love Jake? Let me count the ways...

His long beautiful hair in New Moon
How hard he tries to keep his promise to Bella
The way he protects her
his sense of humor
His big wolfy grin Smile

his personality in general...
The way he understands her pain
How desperately in love he is... even if he acts like a 16 year old sometimes.
The way he reminds me of my hubby Wink

And there are others too... there is not time enough to list them right now...

I love Jacob. I learn so much more about his and Bella's relationship each time I revamp. I've noticed that Bella is always completely relaxed and comfortable with Jacob. There is very little stress or conflict between them. Even when Bella does something stupid or crazy, Jacob doesn't get mad at her. He truly loves her and they are best friends. Yes, he is not as mature as Edward, but he is still young. Then again, so is Bella. I know Jacob would make a great husband and father, and he could protect Bella (even Edward admitted this). I can imagine he and Bella together and having a wonderful life (hmmm...makes a good idea for an alternate ending/fanfic).

Bella's relationship with Edward is totally different. It is full of angst and danger. There is a constant electricity between them (although Bella had some pretty good sparks for Jacob at the end of Eclipse). They have an exciting relationship, and they really do seem almost physically connected, somehow.

With either Edward or Jacob, Bella has found a loving and accepting family (vampires or werewolves). So, I'm a bit torn on this issue. I know the story is about Bella and Edward (who I do love), so they are the ones who are meant to be together. The story would be a bit bland w/out Edward. My biggest hope is that Jacob imprints on someone and is completely happy for the rest of his life.

Everyones comments on Jake are so true! I have often thought that had Bella not seen Edward, Jake and she would have been good for eachother. No BOOING now...Jake is really what most girls wish for (or at least I did)...someone who accepts them for who they are no strings attached.

This is such a tough issue. I do like Jacob, he's immature but in a good way. He's the one character that actually makes me think teenager & seems 'real'. I think Bella used Jacob...he needs to move on to someone better, because he deserves better. While reading Eclipse, I was mad at Bella for using Jake.

Edward is just so 'unreal', I just cant think of any words to describe him to do justice. How can Bella not be with Edward. That's why we are so obsessed, because Edward is an angel/perfect/romantic/hottie/protector.

I do like Jacob, but Edward is my #1.

Oh Rhonda that is one of my fave bits in N/M. It was comforting to know he could be wolf and be near Bella (sigh) Very Happy

I can't believe I just barely found this thread. Most people already know this BUT....I LOVE JACOB. Love him so much! I still have to choose Edward of Jacob for Bella......but I still almost cry EVERYTIME I read the "real" kiss in Eclipse...when Bella sees what her life could have been...what she is giving up. Everyone I know who hates Jacob forgets somehow that he is only 15/16 during the story and how many 15/16 yr old boys do you know that could handle being put through what he was put through and could handle being desperate to save to save the love of their life and always doing it calmly???? NOT MANY. He made mistakes, of course....so did Edward and he has had 80+ years to be perfect.

Anyway---I think it has all been said but Jacob is wonderful and I would take him as a consolation prize ANYDAY!!!!! Smile
