Welcome ladies! It's so nice to meet more CT Twilighters!
My housemate and I are planning a film release party/get together and hopefully something in August for the book release. Maybe we can all meet up?

I've gotten into the vampire/ paranormal romance genre as a result of the Twilight series and I was wondering if perhaps someone wanted to do a book swap?

I have the JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, # 1-5 (#6 comes out in June I think) and Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon (the first book in the Dark Hunter Series). They're all paperbacks, all in really good condition (I'm one of those semi-picky types about the condition of my books!) and I would eventually like them back but I'd be willing to lend them in exchange for borrowing Charlaine Harris' Southern Vamp Series. I'm trying to save a bit of money and my library doesn't carry these so I was wondering if there might be someone interested in a loan exchange?

I realize it's a long shot but I thought I'd give it a try. Anything to take my mind off of how far away August 2nd is!!

I JUST lent my entire Charlaine Harris series to my friend in Poughkeepsie! If I can get them back within a few weeks, I'd be willing to do a book swap.

And I am up for some kind of pre-party for Breaking Dawn. I'm a mom of one fabulous baby girl and I live in Fairfield County. I resigned from my teaching job to stay at home for a few years. I'm all about meeting some new moms and non-moms.

Oh, and did anybody else order a Twilight Moms shirt? I had to buy one....couldn't resist....

Ohhhh, thanks! But don't make your friend rush. I'm thinking that I'm going to cave in and buy them as my husband is scheduled soon to go to China for two weeks. :( It's just my brand of pity-party to buy myself some yummy books! LOL

Glad to see another CT'er, especially from Fairfield County and a former teacher!

I really *did* try to abstain from purchasing more books from another series! But I already caved in and started my paperback collection of the Southern Vampire Series. Thanks to all of you who offered to lend me yours!

Now the wait is on until they arrive!! LOL

Happy revamping!

You'll really like them- the first three are definitely the best. They are certainly more (ahem) "mature", in that, if you've ever wished for Bella and Edward to get their groove on, then this might satisfy you. ;) By the fourth book, I started getting a little tired of the writing, but overall, a good series to hold you over while the hubby is in China.

Cool, another former teacher, I presume? And from Fairfield County? This is very cool. I smell a future get together as Breaking Dawn fast approaches....

pfff....after reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood, all other "mature" material seems like a "my first chapter book" LOL!! I took advantage of Amazon's buy 4 for 3 and got the first four of the Sookie series but had to opt for free shipping so who knows how long I'll have to wait.

Yes, former teacher here....long story. I've taught French from pre-school to adults and ESL to adults but most recently French at the high school level.

Hope you don't mind....sending you a PM!

See you around the boards!
Stacey
