All I can say is YAY me I finished reading a different book outside of the Twilight saga!!!!

OK, so I agree with you Shimmerskin and notsoruthless, about Parr and Julia being more comparable to Edward Farras and Eleanor Dashwood than Darcy and Elizabeth. I loved their sheer good nature! They were so loyal and kind to their friends and others in general, what a fun read. (But, I find that I too enjoy the bad boy image in fictional novels more intriguing. In real life I don't think that I would be quite so drawn to Edwads temper as I am while reading it  ! I can't wait to get some more darkness out of MS, I also hope Robert gets to read more of MS to get his character right in the movie!)

I also thought of Chris as a Whiloughby at first rather than Wickam, but I think Wickam suits him better. But how funny thtat they both begin with a "W".

I thought Seth was very sweet. I didn't get the creepy vibe from him like Mr. Collins. He had a bit of Mike Newton in him, just being persistant. He gave up much more easily though in the end. I thought he was a good guy, just not the right guy for Julia.

I, too, agree with all you ladies about Parr and Julia fitting better into the Sense and Sensibility story line. That being said, they are super fun characters and I loved the little P&P references.

Chris is definitely a Wickham, but he had more of a single-track mind, and was completely transparent. The real Wickham was doing the seducing for financial gain as well...

My favorite comparison, and which made me laugh the most, is Seth to Mr. Collins. Poor guy! He was a little self-important, but not quite so ridiculous as Mr. Collins. And though annoying, Seth was definitely more endearing than Mr. C. I'm glad he found his own little happiness in the end. Although, I also agree that Julia is so not like Elizabeth Bennet because she humored him for waaay too long.
