Hey girls, if you would like to get together for Bella's b-day on the 13th let me know. I know it's a little late but I think we can still throw something together and have some fun. Any ideas? I think meeting somewhere in Houston/Galleria area/ Downtown would be best, since we all seem to live in different parts of the city and surrounding areas. Let me know your thoughts. :D

How did everyone do with hurricane Ike? I guess it ruined any Bella's b-day plans? I live in The Woodlands and we still don't have power. We came to my sil's today because she got her electricity back fast. We got lucky and our house doesn't have any damage, but a small tornado (at least that's what it sounded like) went down our street and every other house has trees on the roof. We think our family vacation place in Jamaica Beach is probably pretty bad but can't go down there to see.

I'm in Seabrook and our place made it through fine, no damage. Daughter and I are currently at my Aunt & Uncle's in Fredericksburg, NW of San Antonio. Hubby had to stay and work since he's a weatherman and is at our place now. He said as soon as we get power back we'll be able to come home, which will hopefully be soon.

We waited in line for an hour to get gas this afternoon. Some stores are opening and we finally found bread and milk. I'm ready to go home and for things to get back to normal, but we have no idea when that will be.

Hi all, I live just south of Kemah and thankfully had NO damage other than a tree down and ruined landscaping. We now have power and internet (obviously) and things are slowly getting back to normal.

I'm in Cypress. We finally got power back yesterday evening. I had to throw out a bunch of food but on the bright side I have a spotless fridge and freezer! I just figured out that our internet works. Woo-hoo! Now I need some new pics of ROB!!!!

Hi All,

I'm in Humble and we still have no power today, but our water is working. I'm currently at a friend's house and am finally satisfying my Edward jones because she has electricity and I can plug in my laptop! I hope everyone else made it through Ike in one piece. I am so thankful for good friends and family! ...And Twilight Moms, of course!

I'm glad to hear so many are doing well and didn't have much damage. I hope that those we haven't heard from yet are doing well. I'm thinking of you guys!

Hubby just called tonight to say we got power back!! It will be so nice to get back home. He doesn't know if we have cable and internet but at this point I really don't care.

I hope those that don't have power yet get theirs back on soon!

Well, I guess I've got the record for longest power outage. We finally got it back on Sep 27, so it was out for 13 days! They finally brought in a huge generator for our school because it was the only one in Conroe ISD that was still closed. My kids were out of school for exactly 2 weeks and the district is hoping the TEA will wave the days. I'm glad it's all over and everyone else had little or no damage.
