Hi Monisa and welcome. Glad to see that I keep making new friends here. I'm glad you have your daughter to talk with about these books. Can't talk to my daughters yet about them however being only 6 and 3 I really don't think they would get why mom has a crush on an imaginary vampire. LOL. one day when they are old enough though I will share these books with them. I am currently reading Breaking Dawn for the second time and I can't read it slow enough. Yes I too have the movie companion on reserve ( there is an encyclopedia??) I can't wait to see the movie. I believe my friend ( whom hasn;t read the books ) is going to go with me to see the movie. There is a twilight book club here? Interesting.. good to see some new faces . hope to talk soon. :)>-

Ok, I too am from Wichita. Nice to see some real fans from around here. I am single, older than you all I am sure and mother of one teenager daughter. We both love Twilight and are planning on the midnight showing at the Warren. We have some others we know going too. I have also read Harry Potter and love all those books. Nice escape, reading. My daughter got me into both book series. We have the Entertainment Tonight Twilight magazine (don't like Robert's picture, he's much better looking than that), the Twilight T-shirt with the whole cast and the calender. Already have the movie companion book and the Twilight sage encyclopedia on reserve. Also a cool book we read was A New Dawn exclusively at Borders. It is a collection of chapters by other authors on SM's Twilight series. Different points of view for sure. Some chapters are; Edward, Heathcliff, and Our Other Secret Boyfriends; Romeo, Ripley and Bella Swan and Dancing w/ Wolves.

Lived in Wichita most all my life. Have loved reading all my life. My other favorites Vampire books are the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles and New Vampire Chronicles. I am also reading Sunshine by Robin McKinley. Really good stand alone Vampire books recommended by the leader of a Twilight book club we went to at Borders.

Well Hello! Beautiful Soul! The book club was only for the month-6 weeks before Breaking Dawn came out. we went over each book for one evening each week. We have moved on the the Harry Potter Series but plan for a reunion before the movie. It is at Border's West. The encyclopedia is what I call it for lack of a better word on my part. It is a book that will list everything about the Twilight series inlcuding all the families, how they are related, even the Quilluyte tribes, tidbits of information of the characters, back stories, etc. A MUST HAVE! I can hardly wait for the movie. Someday your girls will understand and you will get to relive the series through fresh new eyes. I envy you. Talk to you later. :flower:

Hey, anyone from KS is invited to the movie premiere. I plan on hitting Warren West if they show it there. If you just let us all know how you will be dressed (character) or maybe we can carry a sign w/ our names we could meet up. I plan to buy my tickets as soon as they let me. If you can't make it or don't want to NO PROBLEM... we will just rehash the movie here later. :)

I had planned on going to the East Warren hopefully because one friend of mine ( that hasnt read the books ) is suppose to go with me. Why would you envy me? I'm just an ordianary everyday house mom..LOL. I know that as soon as tickets are avaiable I will be buying mine. Thank you for the offer I will definetly keep that in my mind. if you change locations let me know.

Beautiful Soul,
The two books coming out are;
1: The Twilight Saga: The Offical Guide (to be released 12-20-08)
2: Twilight: the Complete Illistrated Movie Companion

I am sure most Twilight fans will get them both. I pre-ordered mine from Border's West.

Wanda,
Welcome! :hug:

That sounds good. We are planning to be there for the first showing which I hope starts at 12:01AM. We have friends that will be standing in line EARLY in the day and I will buy tickets ASAP when they go on sale. Keep in touch here for further updates since Warren hasn't decided anything yet.

The trailer is SOOOO GOOD! I've watched it several times and tried to catch it at the theater today to no avail.

Just and FYI unless I looked at something wrong you have to go to the theater to purchase them since they are selling in advance. I looked on the website to see if you could even purchase tickets for movies playing now and I couldnt find anything.. if you do let me know. I have my friends husband going to buy them for me...LOL
