Well, standards ,before i start with my reply , let me tell u about myself first. I am happily married to my chicano husband of 3yrs , which includes a stepdaugther every other weekend and no kids of my own just yet. Yes , my husband was everything edward is in the beginging of are dating, engagement and so on. But as the years went on by he has became more like the volturri edward, having excuses on why he didn't give me a card or flowers when are anniversary date (which is every 20th of the month)comes around , and my love for twilight has out shined his love for him sort of thing. But at the end of the day he will always be my human edward, along with flaws and all. I believe you will find your edward , i mean ,he will find you and when he does , enjoy it while you can because time changes your relationship with your spouse despite the constant reminder of how he use to be being in your past memories. So remember , that Edward is possible of having but he only last for a short period of time. lol keep your head up he's coming, if you are confident with yourself

I know exactly what you are talking about - I feel the same... and I hope for the same
always searching for what Edward represents

I guess, if he was real we wouldn't know it... or him, he would hide in a little town just like Forks and we would never meet him *sigh*

A normal guy would say: “I love you Baby!”
Edward Cullen would say: “You are my life now.”

Normal Guy would say: “I think I am falling for you.”
Edward Cullen would say: “The Lion fell in Love with the Lamb”

Normal Guy would say: “You hair looks like a haystack; go brush it!”
Edward Cullen would say: “Your hair looks like a haystack but I like it.”

A normal guy would pick a random song from a random artist and dedicate it to you.
Edward Cullen would sing you a song he wrote for you while playing the piano.

If you die, a normal guy would find another.
If you die, Edward would kill himself cause life without you isn’t worth living.

“Well, I wasn’t going to live without you..” He rolled his eyes as if that fact were childishly obvious. “..but I wasn’t sure how to do it. I knew Emmet and Jasper would never help so I was thinking maybe I would go to Italy and do something to provoke the Volturi.”

As you leave the house, a normal guy would say: “Bye, see ya!”
As you leave the house Edward Cullen would say: “Come back to me, love.”

He smiled my favorite smile. “Hurry back to me.”
“Always.”

As you come back to the house, a normal guy would be watching TV and wouldn’t even notice.
As you come back to the house, Edward Cullen would be welcoming you by playing the piano with a song just for you.

“I heard the music before I was out of the car. Edward hadn’t touched his piano since the night Alice left. Now, as I shut the door, I heard the song morph through a bridge and change into my lullaby. Edward was welcoming me home.’

A normal guy would wait for you to make him breakfast.
Edward Cullen would make you breakfast everyday.

While you are both out for dinner, a normal guy wouldn’t keep his eyes off the sexy waitress.
Edward Cullen wouldn’t even notice the waitress was a female.

A normal guy, while driving, would keep one hand on the wheel and one hand on the radio.
Edward Cullen, while driving, would keep one hand on the wheel and the other attached to yours.

While far apart in different places, a normal guy would say: “I miss you.”
While far apart in different places, Edward Cullen would say: “It’s like you’ve taken half myself with you”

A normal guy wouldn’t care or notice if you had nightmares.
Edward Cullen would sing until your nightmares went away.
“Do you want me to sing to you? I’ll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away.”

A normal guy does it with everyone.
Edward Cullen only does it with one.
A normal guy buys you flowers and chocolates.
Edward Cullen buys you a car.

Could it be that Edward is just the incarnation for THE perfect man for us all?! So that the singles are not looking for Edward but just for a loving, caring gentleman, the ultimative dreamman?

I still want to believe that someone like Edward could exist. Never say that he´s just fictional! I can´t stand this thought!! :wah:

To KunoichiDazz, LinaZ and somersault,

I've pretty much given up hope on dating and finding my Edward out there - I think that today's men just cannot compare! I find myself playing the role of Edward - the men I've been with are not romantic, not well read with a poor vocabulary (hence unable to express romantic sentiments like "You are my life now" and "It feels like you've taken half of me with you") and all in all do not want me as much as Edward wants Bella! I'm well aware that Edward is fictional, but in truth I was looking for my "Edward" long before I read Twilight, Edward just seemed to embody what I want in a person.

I find myself getting really depressed the closer the movie is. I'm single so the thought of living the rest of my life without my Edward is so depressing. I find myself unable to even reread the series because I get so down when it comes to showing how in love Edward and Bella is! The worst part is that I can't even talk to any of my friends about it because none of them read Twilight and they don't know what I'm going on about.

Maybe I'll be as lucky as lauralee, but I'm just not in a good place right now and neither have a Jacob nor an Edward! :wall:
