I personally don't view Edward as controlling, he is VERY protective of Bella, he LOVES her

I agree. We look at Edward through eyes that have grown up during the feminist era of the second half of the 20th century. In the time when Edward grew up, first as a human, then as a young vampire (under the training of an even more old fashioned Carlisle) it was assumed that a young man would protect the women in his life. One of the side effects of feminism is that women no longer invite or welcome the attention of protective men. We are independent and don't need them. Well, look where it's gotten us. We're pining over all of the old fashioned values in the form of a beautiful, fictional young man.

Ironically, Ned the Pie Man (Pushing Daisies) just said "See it's not stalking, it's just good, old fashioned chivalry."

I think i already posted but it is fun to talk about this because my husband feels he has been replaced by twilight anyway so why not have fun. Well Teamedward/jacob is were i began to stand due to the must have attention women possess in are being and words that drive us crazy. On youtube i became Team sam/ embry on the pack side because embry was gorgeous the actor and sam was cute and a poet whom i got my name from honeyrose. So to make a long story short, these fiction characters are better then are husbands, boyfriends, etc because they know exactly what to do and say to make us melt and feel special all the time , instead of every other day or what have you, just awesome. I still love you hubby , :D despite.

I'm a single Twilight "mom" and my new fiance is a little on the "paranormal" side of Edward.. He's a 5th generation psychic and when I first met him, I wasn't sure if I really believed him or not. He decided to show me by locking my car doors with his mind through telekineses :thud: I just about fainted when he did that, and he acted like it was no big thing. There have been numerous times when he's also knew what I was thinking, and he senses things that always come true. He basically made me a believer in psychic abilities. Other than that he's adorable and smells good like Edward. :hyper2:
