I was wondering how I can mark "all topics read"? There used to be something to click on at the bottom of the forum page. Am I missing it??!!

Thanks!

We are all still learning the new forum - let me see if I can find this out for you.

I did notice that when I open and read a topic that there is a small read dot on the icon showing I read it - not sure if that helps you or not.

Hmmmmm...I don't see a way to mark all topics read - I will keep looking though and post if I find something.

Thanks! It's nice to be able to mark them as "read" when finished with reading the topics that you like. Then when you sign on again you can see what's new since your last visit.

I really appreciate you looking into this!

Yes, my pages of posts when I hit 'view new posts' keeps getting longer and longer every day. I like to just mark them all read so that when I come back, I can just read whatever is new.

You could try using the filter at the bottom of the page in the black bar: "Display posts from previous:" and set it to 1 day or 7 days, depending on how long it's been since you visited.

This won't do exactly the same thing for you, but if you just want to concentrate on what's new, you can do that by changing your board settings in the User Control Panel. Go to Board Preferences, Edit Display Options and you can set it to show you posts from the past 1 day, 7 days, or 2 weeks.

It might be a little clumsy if you sometimes want to cruise new boards/topics (you'll have to go in and change back the settings), but it might be easier than wading through all the new posts.

Is there any hope that this option will be re-added to the forum? Please, please, please. *Begging*

Ok - Not sure if this will help but on each board - if you look to the upper right side you can click on Mark Topics Read.

So open up the Posting Basics board and look to the right - Mark Topics read is in the Black Bar right under the page number.

I totally missed this when I was looking before - hope that helps.

Hallelujah!

I still wish there was one on the main page that would mark every forum as read, instead of having to go into each topic. (Please, please, please webmaster!) *Sigh* But at least I can mark my favorites and go back to them. Thanks, snowey!

I second the request to have a "mark all forums read" link on the homepage, if it's possible. Going into EVERY forum and marking things read takes so much time, especially when there are forums I don't read.
