Thanks!
Does anyone remember right off hand, or have it marked somewhere, where in the books the Esmes story is? I know that he had a child and that she "fell" from a cliff, but I can't remember where or if there is any more detail to her story. I am scanning Eclipse now, I think there was maybe something in there...I'm not sure though. Maybe I imagined it!

Where I saw it was on The Lex. Much more backstory on Esme than in the books.

She does mention to Bella in the books somewhere that Edward smoothed over the fact that she actually jumped (not fell). I'm reading Twilight, I'll let you know if it's there if I see it. I think it has to be in Eclipse though.

It is in Twilight. When Bella and Esme are sitting together watching the vampire baseball game, Esme mentions that she jumped as she is explaining her mothering instincts and why she considers them her "children". When Bella mentions that Edward had said that she had fallen, Esme says, "Always the gentleman."

I have an Esme question (let me know if it's already answered somewhere else. I'm always afraid that I'm posting something that's already out there, but honestly even moderators can't keep up with all these great threads)
Do we know or does anyone have any ideas about what Esme's food preference would be? Emmett likes bear, Edward likes cougar, what about Esme?

That is so weird! I was just about to post the same question! First of all I cant even picture Esme hunting, it seems too weird to me. But she must...so what do we think she eats? I was thinking something fast but not violent....maybe Deer or Rabbits. Remember when Edward says that the food fit the person? Esme reminds me of an elegant, grace full prancing deer or gazelle...but they dont have gazelle in Forks..lol. Anyone else with any thoughts???

Dear Daughter and I were having a discussion about who does the laundry and picks up the dry cleaning. I'm thinking Esme probably does it, when DD reminds me that they are all adults and probably do their own. Of course my children have done most of their own since they were old enough to reach the washing machine knobs.
I was thinking about how Esme brought Italian food for Bella from Port Angeles and how she feeds the werewolves in BD. She is always the mother.
I just read the discussion about who would be cast as Esme and it reminds me of the stories of how everyone speculated on who would play which roles when Gone With the Wind was being cast in 1937. How fun it all is!
