I enjoyed looking over everybody's suggestions -- thanks for all of your abilities to do that (I'm still fairly computer-stupid -- that's why I don't even have an avatar yet...  ).
That Ryan McPartlin (sp?) -- oohh! Never heard of him before but I could definitely see him being Carlisle. He's young enough looking (don't many townspeople think he's in his mid-to-late 20s or early 30s max?), drop-dead gorgeous (pun intended), and from that photo he looks like he could pull off being the caring yet secretive doctor. He's got that chiseled jawline and there's wisdom in them-there eyes o' his!!

Oh. My. Gosh. Edward's Mom! I totally picture Dr. Drew for Carlisle. I know it's not technically correct, he's too old, but I can't shake it. He is just who pops into my head every time Carlisle comes up. Weird! Glad I'm not the only one!

That is sooo funny that you posted James Marsden!! My sister and I just went and saw 27 dresses, and she even said that he would be the peeeerfect Carlisle!!! oooohhhh baby!!! He totally would! He is so hot, and he could just totally pull off being Carlisle!! Hot hot Carlisle!!

I totally agree!! He is going to make a GREAT Carlisle... he is a very important character, and I was really worried about who they would choose to play him... and I am so NOT dissappointed by who they chose!! Peter is absolutely fantastic!! He can totally pull off being Carlisle!! Yay Peter... congrats!!!  And what a hottie too!! ooohhhh baby!! Me likey!! haha...

I have a random Carlisle question (let me know if it's already answered somewhere else. I'm always afraid that I'm posting something that's already out there, but honestly even moderators can't keep up with all these great threads)
Do we know or does anyone have any ideas about what Carlisle's food preference would be? Emmett likes bear, Edward likes cougar, what about Carlisle?

I don't know but I just had a funny thought of Esme going "shopping" for Christmas dinner at the Cullen house...
"Let's see: I need to catch one mountain lion, two bears -- Emmett will want leftovers, Jasper, Alice and Rose tend to like venison (I'll cook a little bit of it for Bella, of course) and, hmm, I think I'll get some mountain lions for Carlisle and me this year, too."

Since I saw the Esme one I figured you must have posted a Carlisle one too.
Hmm... I think Carlisle would hunt Lions and Tigers if he could...but they dont really have those in Washington! Maybe wolves.

Call me crazy but I dreamt of Carlisle loving cows, but only the brown-white ones... They taste something like coffee, I was informed...
