Carlisle as Great as Edward?

Can't help choosing Edward. I just love his brooding, passionate and romantic nature-- and the sexual tension he generates, while insisting on remaining virtuous.

I voted Edward, but want to send some love Carlisle's way, too. Many of the qualities we appreciate in Edward were a result of Carlisle's grooming, so he has them, too. That just leaves the "hotness" factor. The first thing we learn about Dr. Cullen is that all the nurses have a huge crush on him. He is obviously HOT and loyal....

That's a good question! I actually think I married a Carlisle (minus the vampire part of course!). My husband is more even keeled, loyal, doing the right thing, wanting to help others (he's even in med school) kinda guy. There are times when I wish he was a little more like Edward - let his emotions take over a little more - but I love him as he is. So I guess my answer is Carlisle.

To me, Carlisle is Edward + 300 years. I bet Carlisle was more like Edward when he was younger, and has calmed down over the years.

I ADORE Carlisle. Carlisle would be the perfect husband. Gorgeous, Intelligent, Well travelled, Caring, Generous etc etc etc. Esme is one lucky woman. So why am I fixated on Edward?? I think it's because I got to know him better. We see him in all his moods, how he struggles with decisions, how he hurts, loves, laughs, sacrifices..... I'm sure if there was a book put out just on Carlisle, I KNOW he would give Edward some hefty competition.

I'm completely in love with Carlisle too!!! I just posted that I would love to see Carlisle & Esme's love story written. I think there will be more joining Team Carlisle after the movie...who can resist Peter Facinelli?!!?

My vote was for Edward.

I love Carlisle he is an amazing leader for this family and who doesn't love a hot doctor. I think a lot of the things we've love about Edward he gets from Carlisle. His desire to protect innocence and his love for his family and Bella even mentioned that he learned his gift giving tendencies from the way Carlisle spoiled Esme.
The age things for me isn't an issue because the truth is Edward is frozen at 17 and Carlisle is frozen at 23. They are both really "young" Carlisle has just taken on a more mature roll. Well that was until Edward had a kid of his own. I think him and Carlisle are on a pretty even playing field now.
Long story short I love both but Edward gets my final vote for one reason...

two words: CROOKED SMILE

I think that if we'd have been given as much information and insight into Carlisle, seen more of his kind and loving side with Esme, like we got to see from Edward, we'd probably all be swooning just as heavily over him. I have no doubt that Carlisle is just as amazing and wonderful...we just didn't get to peek at it.

I love them both. My daughter jokes that she can be with Edward and I can be with Carlisle then we can both stay mother/daughter Cullen's. My husband loves hearing that. Poor guy. Carlisle is a beautifully perfect husband/father/doctor. But after all is said and done....

Edward has my heart (as does MY Edward but in the real world, he is known as Drake) Laughing

Carlisle was second only to Edward when I read Twilight, but the book is blatantly biased towards Edward because we just get Bella's POV.

I'm sure Steph could have a swooning MADLY over Carlisle should she choose to give us more details about it. (I sure wouldn't mind Wink

That is so my topic!

CARLISLE all the way! From the first time reading Twilight, it was always Carlisle who stuck with me whenever my mind wandered off (did I mention it does things like that more often since I´m addited???).

Carlisle is could be everything, best friend, save harbor, older brother, drop-dead hot lover... Whatever I chose, it´s him all the way, that is the ONE thing I am totally sure of! I love the way he holds the family together, gives them a reason to stay reasonable.

I could see myself talk through many nights with him, he is so fascinating. Carlisle has everything I look for in a man, though I doubt I could ever find one who´s even close... But why not dream?
