There is no Actor that I have found that matches the Ian in my head just right and people have already posted my Jeb.

You guys have some great actors playing the roles.

Jeb is Kris Kristofferson from Blade, but someone else said Sam Elliott and that's a great one too.

Mel is this girl from law and order
Angie Harmon but she might be to old..so Jessica Beal is a great choice and so is Evangeline Lilly

Jared:Geoff Stults is a good fit.

Ian is Dylan McDermott, but Ian Somerhalder is a good choice too...Hmmm..maybe one can be Ian and the other Kyle.

I like Cristina Ricci for the Seeker..she seems right for that role.

Jackson Rathbone as Jamie...that is the closest actor I can find to portray him as well. When Jamie is older..when younger Josh Hutcherson would be good.

Yes I have given this WAY to much thought.

I have been thinking about who would play Ian.....and I know that SM said Joshua Jackson would be good as Jared, but I like him as Ian now. I was flipping thru stations today and I came across Dawson's Creek and I saw the intensity he had for Joey (sorry for those who never watched the show) and I thought he would be great in the role of Ian with his never wavering always being intense about Wanda....

He's a little streached out here...

I just finished the book and I've been going through looking at everyone's suggestions for characters. There are some actors that fit the parts pefectly.
My choices would be:

Jeb- definetly Sam Elliot, he has the perfect look to fit the description and could pull off acting crazy but yet kind.

Ian- I would choose Gerard Butler, I don't recall Ian or Kyle's ages ever mentioned, and Gerard Butler fits the discription of Ian's body build, dark hair and beautiful eyes!

Kyle- Jeffery Dean Morgan, I think as far as actors that could pull off similar look and sound, he and Gerard Butler would make a great brother team.

Jared- I can see Jason Lewis

Melanie- I can see Evangeline Lilly, as far as age goes Camilla Belle looks more the right age but doesn't have the athletic look.

Jamie- This is what Jamie looked like to me while I was reading Jackson Rathbone

Doc- I could picture James McAvoy in this role, I love him as an actor and he is incredibly hot, but I don't feel like he has the right body build for Jared or Ian.

Seeker- Definetly Christina Ricci, she has the look and could pull off the very annoying personality.

I always imagined Ian as more professor-ish. (is that a word). But then Kyle was a brute to me, and so I keep trying to imagine two actors that look alike, but like opposites. Neither felt like a pretty boy to me.
Jared has to feel like he could snap me in half in a twig without looking all muscle bound. He just has to have the aura of internal strength.
There is so much internal wonderment by Wanda at the beginning, I just can't imagine how that would translate on screen though.
