| I was revamping last night, and I don't know if I skimmed over it or missed it or what, but I can't seem to find any info about Esme and how she was changed and how she got with Carlisle. Any info?

Carlisle was working at the hospital where Esme was brought after she jumped from a cliff. They thought she was dead and took her to the morgue where Carlisle found her still alive, but barely and he took her home. He changed her. He didn't want her to die, he had met her once before when he treated her broken leg when she was 16.
Not all of this is in the book, but it's in a profile that Stephenie created for Carlisle that can be found on the lex somewhere. _________________

That back story is amazing! I love how she had always loved him and then she was actually changed by him! Very romantic! _________________ "Edward, there's no point to forever without you. I wouldn't want one day without you."

Call me crazy, but it's sounding more and more like Vampires imprint like the Werewolves. It seems like they see someone and that's it, their lifers! I feel like every time Esme and Carlisle look at each other, they fall in love again. And the "kids" only bring them closer. I love this back story... me want more! _________________

It DOES seem like they imprint! Or something very close to it. They also get revenge if their partner gets killed. I love how in love Carlisle and Esme are too! They just seem to fit so well together.
By the way, MrsMcCoy, I love your little kitty with the paws in the air! I laughed so hard when I first saw that! _________________ "Edward, there's no point to forever without you. I wouldn't want one day without you."

Thanks muspia15!
Another thing about them imprinting is Carlisle knew Esme when she was younger, just like Jacob's friend (whose name is escaping me) who imprinted on a 2 year old. Maybe Carlisle always knew Esme was for him. Dang! Stephenie sure can write em! _________________

Quil. Quil imprinted on the 2 year old. She sure does know how to write these intricate story lines! Carlisle and Esme are just SO perfect for each other. Amazing! _________________ "Edward, there's no point to forever without you. I wouldn't want one day without you."

I am so enthralled by these two, sometimes (not always) even more so than Edward and Bella (is that considered blasephemy??). I think only because they are the closest in age to me and their love reminds me so much of my own with my husband. I am so glad to have gotten more background on them at the Lex and can only dream that Stephenie will someday elaborate. _________________ "Like everything in life, I just had to decide what to do with what I was given" -Carlisle Cullen NM pg.35

I think the Esme/Carlisle back story for how they "found" eachother is the best out of the non edward/bella love stories. when i read that on the Lex a while back it totally made me understand the 2 of them. it was really sweet!!! _________________ Clarity of mind means clarity of passion, too; this is why a great and clear mind loves ardently and sees distinctly what it loves.

Hi Secsec *furiously waving hand*!
I love Carlisle and Esme's story. It relates to me more than Edward/Bella for some reason. Probably because they are more my age group I suppose. I just love the practicality of these two characters.
I'm glad to have someone post here that I "know" _________________ "Like everything in life, I just had to decide what to do with what I was given" -Carlisle Cullen NM pg.35

np Ladypheonix, us Chicago TMs have to stick together hehe.
I think part of what does it for me is the kind of kismet of it all or something. Or maybe its just the idea that the really hot older guy who did something nice for you when you were a kid is a vampire and is still hot when your old enough to marry him and then you just happen to find him again in WI of all places.
BUt really, i cant figure out what it is about it, but when i read it, it totally stuck with me. _________________ Clarity of mind means clarity of passion, too; this is why a great and clear mind loves ardently and sees distinctly what it loves.

The whole story line is cute and I would love it to be explored more. I really like Carlisle for his compassion and his ability to see reason when all other reasoning has gone out the window. Hey-have you seen our Team Carlisle posts on our local page? I don't have your name on my list. You should read the manifesto in the Files and then see if it is for you. You can be a "Newborn" with us this year.
So I guess I would have to say that he is a favorite character of mine because of the inspiration that I have pulled from it (the character). _________________ "Like everything in life, I just had to decide what to do with what I was given" -Carlisle Cullen NM pg.35

ok, 3rd time trying to post this hehe. We'll try again. Yes i've read your manifesto, and the subsiquent posts about it. I'm mostly just trying to keep my head above water at the moment, and not doing as much self improvement as i should be. But y'all seem to be doing really well with it and it's a great idea. keep up the good work!!! _________________ Clarity of mind means clarity of passion, too; this is why a great and clear mind loves ardently and sees distinctly what it loves.
