My dh and I were going on a trip to France and Italy. Dh let me plan a few days in Volterra, even though he doesn't understand my obsession with all things Twilight. We both are so glad that we went there! It's one of the most beautiful cities that we went to!!! If anyone ever gets a chance to go there, you must!
Volterra is very out of the way! From Pisa, we had to take a train and two buses. Was worth it though!

The Palazzo dei Priori and clock tower, and me standing in front of it:

As you can see, there really isn't an alley to the right of the clock tower or a fountain in the middle of the piazza. But, you can totally imagine them being there!

This is the wall on the right side of the Palazzo dei Priori, where Bella would have had her back against it while Edward protected her. Plus, me reading New Moon by the wall:

An alley that you can totally imagine them walking down, and a drain hole that they would have gone down:

The only tower there which reminded me of the one described as the Volturi's headquarters in the book, and a window that was like the one Bella saw in the tower:

The clock tower as seen from the archeological park, and a store that reminded me of Alice:

I schlept New Moon all over Europe just so I could get this pic! It was worth it!!!

Nothing is so beautiful as the clock tower lit up at night! It's really amazing!

Volterra was one of the most beautiful places that I've ever been! I know that they wanted to get out of there as fast as they could in the book, but I never wanted to leave! It's a wonderful place and I highly recommend that you go there if you ever get the chance!

WOW! That looks beautiful! DH would like to go back to Italy someday and he wants to go to Volterra too, so hopefully one day I can see it too! Great pics!

Anyway absolutely amazing pics, Volterra looks incredible and the shot at night is just beautiful. As you know I'm very jealous but thanks for sharing your photos with us Smile
